After [illegal alien] drunken driver kills son, mother billed for cleanup
WISTV (Greenville, SC) ^ | June 21, 2012 | news

GREENVILLE, SC (WYFF) - A drunken driver killed an Upstate women's son last year, and if the grief wasn't enough, she's had to deal with bills associated with the wreck, even for the cost of cleaning up her son's blood.

A coroner called Loretta Robinson last June and told her that her oldest son, Justin Walker, died when his car was struck by a drunken driver on White Horse Road. "I never would have imagined getting that call," she said. "Never in one million years expected that."

Robinson looked Anna Gonzalez, the accused driver, in the eye in court Tuesday as Gonzalez pleaded guilty.

The grieving mother then showed the judge the many bills she's had to pay, even though her son was not at fault.

Robinson said she paid to have the wrecked car stored for months, in case there was a trial.

"I had to pay to have the vehicle towed," she said. "I had to pay for the vehicle removed and to clean up the street from Justin's blood on the ground."

Robinson said that was the bill that stung the most – paying $50 to have the street cleaned.
.
.
.
Robinson said she doesn't expect she'll get a cent from Gonzalez.

Although Gonzalez was an illegal immigrant that had lived here for 12 years, she never got a South Carolina driver's license. She has been sentenced to 17 years in prison.

Being innocent of any wrong doing Robinson is lucky that she was not sent to jail as well as being required to pay damages to the illegal drunk.

for the AFIRE ping list

Whenever an illegal alien kills someone in a drunk driving accident or something similar, here’s what I recommend:
What can we do about it? Here’s my standard post.

RICO —Citizen Recourse

Private persons and entities may initiate civil suits to obtain injunctions and treble damages against enterprises that conspire to or actually violate federal alien smuggling, harboring, or document fraud statutes, under the Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO). The pattern of racketeering activity is defined as commission of two or more of the listed crimes. A RICO enterprise can be any individual legal entity, or a group of individuals who are not a legal entity but are associated in fact, and can include nonprofit associations.

Here’s what I’ve been pushing: it’s time to file Racketeering, Influencing, and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) lawsuits.

RICO lawyers could turn it around in a few years and MAKE MONEY at the same time. I’m surprised they haven’t done it already.

In the absence of enforcement, we can get the word out in the meantime that there is money to be made in filing RICO lawsuits against employers who hire illegal aliens like this jerk.

Employers would have no trouble shutting down the border if they could get sued by someone under the RICO statutes for hiring these people in the first place. The next time an illegal alien kills someone in a drunk driving accident or somesuch thing, I’m going to point out that the victim’s family might be able to seek compensation from the employer under these statutes in the hopes that it would catch on. If this did catch on, would see such a swift backlash against illegal immigration that no employer would go near these people and they’ll all simply want to go back home.

“So why in the hell did the mother get these bills in the first place???”

Eric Holder advised the judge.

Although Gonzalez was an illegal immigrant that had lived here for 12 years, she never got a South Carolina driver's license.

Not sure why the fact she never got a license is even mentioned, other than trying to advance an agenda. As if getting a license would have stopped this illegal alien from driving drunk.

Bingo! If we'd only granted immunity and maybe even citizenship, this illegal alien would have gotten a drivers license, carried insurance, stopped drinking, and the accident would have never happened.

I guess cause if she had a license, there is a warning on there to not drink and drive. She would have had to show ID every time she bought a drink, and would have seen the warning? I don’t know. The logic isn’t Earth logic.

I guess people here just get to pay for everything, DWIs/accidents, anchor babies, medical, “education”

We're having to pay to clean up a lot of crap caused by ILLEGAL ALIENS here in the US because the politicians and ICE are not doing the job they were elected and are being paid to do. There needs to be a house cleaning en masse and soon. I've had ILLEGALS damage property and there was no recourse and the ILLEGALS are still driving the roads without driver's licenses and insurance.

Being an illegal alien should be an aggrevating circumstance to every crime, kicking it at least one level higher.

It means that she’s not insured. Dunno if Justin Walker had “Uninsured Motorist” insurance (I sure as heck do...), but that might be why she got the bills. There was no chance that Gonzalez could pay.

Maybe she standing to sue the Feds? She can show loss, damages, ect., and the derive from the Federal Government’s failure to do its duty by securing the border and deporting the illegal aliens.

Tell them to collect from Felipe Calderon and Anna Gonzalez.

And then tell them she will sue for reimbursement for her time spend dealing with the situation.

Every. Damn. Minute.

And why isn't the judge making victim compensation a part of the sentence? This irresponsible drunk should rot in jail until she pays for all the damage she has caused!

I think this is also an excellent reason for all sellers of alcholic beverages to be required to inspect state-issued proof of age before serving ANY customer. No ID, no service. Serve without checking ID - lose your liquor license. Serve to someone without ID who is involved in an accident - then the liability is YOURS.

Here in MN(maybe other states?) we have a “Crime Victims Reparations Board” that helps people with bills like this.

I think the perp should pay,but you know that’ll never happen.

So your saying that people can file RICO suites against the government(for turning a blind eye to illegal immigration) and employers(for hiring illegal immigration)? That list can be much longer.

Of course that is the agenda - without taking into account the huge number of drunk drivers who drive on revoked/expired/no driver’s licenses.
