Inevitably, they are going to try to turn this into an argument to support re-election, so Obama can appoint more left wing radical liberal living-constitution judges.
Certainly they won't come out publicly and admit they want "more left wing radical liberal living-constitution judges". They'll use a more "nuanced" description than that.

I suspect they won't really emphasize judicial appointments that much. They know that their base already knows that Supreme Court Justice Eric Holder is their future if they re-elect Obama, and they don't want to scare the independents with that fact.

I bet they'll react to a court loss on this issue by emphasizing how the "insurance companies and drug companies have won a major victory against the working poor and the middle class" or some such nonsense as that.

I don't think they'll be trumpeting Obama's second-term court picks. They don't want the electorate outside of their committed base thinking about that.

Heck, they don't even want some of our most articulate posters here in FR thinking about that.

It may be slightly nuanced but there will be no mistaking what he says. He will say this is why he needs four more years, that his work is incomplete and whatever else pops into his feeble mind.
