As of 6:40 PDT freerepublic.com was not found on the Bing search engine.

Bing News will give links to articles from DU, DailyKos, HuffPost but not Free Republic.
In fact searching “freerepublic.com “ on Bing news gives articles from those places about Free Republic!
The liberals’ world is circular. It has to be to survive.

Incidentally I noticed Google news search numbers have been wildly inflated lately. Or maybe more stuff counts as news now. Check out www.poserindex.com to see numbers supporting my claim. :)

That’s because Kos and DU use the word ‘News’ on their page headers. Various search engine robots use ‘News’ to categorize news articles. As far as I can tell, FR only uses the term ‘Article’ so our topic threads don’t get miscategorized as news.

Well. I looked at a DailyKos page source and ‘news’ was there over 20 times, on a FR page it wasn’t there at all!
Hmmm, gives me a suggestion for John and Jim.
Would sure like for FR to be as available to news searches as DK and DU!

I don’t think FR should be searchable under news search engines, IMO. We comment on news stories here, but we don’t generate news stories (normally).
FR under web searches, yes.
