WASHINGTON – The White House has kept its preparations for the Supreme Court’s decision on President Barack Obama’s health care law close to the vest. Mr. Obama, White House press secretary Jay Carney said Wednesday, the West Wing is merely “waiting for an opinion, a decision, and we’ll assess.”
But Mr. Obama has been doing more than sitting back and waiting. The president has three separate speeches prepared in anticipation of the ruling on his signature legislative achievement, a person familiar with them said.
One of the speeches addresses a complete overturn of the law, while another is crafted as if the court strikes down the law’s individual mandate but upholds other provisions. The third speech, for if the court upholds the entire law, is more celebratory, according to this person.

B.S. Kagan called him with the result ten minutes after the vote was taken. He has known for weeks. This story is just laying down some CYA for her.
It would be funny if he read the wrong prepared speech. All it needs is for a mixup to “happen” with the Teleprompter®. Somewhere out there is a technician who could arrange this. Oh, please do this! For the good of your country!
Quite possibly. However, I do expect him to try to implement the whole thing by Executive order ...somehow. Also, look for a lot of [scared] companies to say they’re going to abide by the rules anyway.
Someone else brought up the possibility that he would have the gov’t subsidize one insurance company that would offer rates so low that it would drive every other company out of business, ie, fascism.

That would be the speech he may give in late October or
early November in face of his landslide defeat.
