When some is called a Benedict Arnold he is deemed a traitor. Will being called a John Roberts go to mean the same?
Arnold only sold out The Country once; Roberts has already sold out The Country TWICE this week alone, and he ins in the position FOR LIFE!
I remember back when Roberts was nominated people did give a warning that he tended to favor government power. He might believe that gov’t can ban abortions but as this case and the previous case regarding marijuana growing purely for personal consumption shows he also believes gov’t has broad powers to tell you what you can do and not do unless there is an explicit prohibition to said gov’t power in the Constitution. Madison warned us about these types indirectly when he argued that the risk of having a Bill of Rights is people will tend to view the gov’t as being able to do anything as long as it was not prohibited in the Bill of Rights.
The pirate Roberts is doing what he was placed on the court to do, and that is not to uphold OUR Constitution.

It matters. Leftist ideologue presidents appoint leftist ideologue justices and those justices seldom stray. We know what we'll get from Obama and Clinton appointees and we rarely hear of any of them voting with conservatives on the court.
How is he a traitor? He will be remembered as a great progressive just like Bush was!

First the SC holds the McCainFeingold campaign finance BS constitutional. Now under the Roberts court, Az can’t protect its borders and a mandate that was not a tax is “interpreted” as a tax. Roberts has now become the current Sandra Day Oconnor — a lib at heart—not a constitutionalist. Sad state of events. Thanks Bush
Roberts could not have done it alone. That is why he ILEGALLY Told Obama’s lady to stay on the court Even though she had previous involvement in Obama Care. He is in fact the chief law breaker on that alone as the law says she can not do that.
Now we know why he did it.
There is nothing left to be proud about being an American anymore. The communists have taken over.
So now on two high profile cases, Arizona immigration and Obamacare, Roberts has gone liberal on us.
Why is it that “conservative” justices can become more liberal, but liberal justices never become more conservative?
So many of us anticipated a 5 to 4 vote, but thought that Justice Kennedy would be the swing vote to make it 5 to 4. Sadly, we see Roberts, supposedly solidly on the conservative side, made it 5 to 4 for the liberals.
I know it over-simplifies to say the liberal side wins a complicated case, but, it’s true in the sense that this case gives a green light for government intrusion and regulation into other areas of our lives. It greatly expands governmental powers.

Obviously, I do not like this ruling.
However, it must be stated that we would have lost on several counts, even if we had Roberts on our side on every count.
Roberts made what may turn out to be a strategic decision, in that Roberts was able to actually WRITE the majority opinion.
That Roberts written opinion clearly says that Congress did not have the power under the Commerce Clause to impose the mandate, and it clearly says this is a TAX!
If a liberal had written the opinion, said opinion would probably have approved the mandate under the Commerce Clause, that would have been horrible.
Furthermore, the restrictions Roberts wrote into the opinion, on the power of the Secretary of HHS to punish the States, does in fact gut much of Obamacare.
Yes he is, a traitor to the constitution.
We now live under the mafia... buy from us or pay us to leave you alone... the tax is just protection money
John Roberts is an evil creature. He has cast the deciding vote to end his country and constitution. He has effectively made this a slave nation.
Research and discovery will now die because there will no longer be purpose and profit in it. It is much more cost effective to kill off those who are no longer healthy. He has effectively financed murder through abortion and death panels. He has made a mockery of all those who fought and died for the freedom of this country.
He has resigned millions to a life of poverty and government benefits at a cost to those of us who may still be able to tread water. Make no doubt this is a job killing business killing bill. This is death on many levels some of which we have not even begun to realize.
Be prepared to have your appetites curbed as well because make no mistake that what you eat will be curtailed in the name of health.
I could go on but am so furious there are no more presentable words that I have left.
