“She is being painted as having some kind of super clout under the gospel, to the point that getting her prayers are worth getting uncounted prayers of mortals on earth.

This practically begs for the question to be asked, since she isn’t (as God is) omniscient or omnipresent, does she max out trying to serve all these requests at some point?”

~ ~ ~

I don’t want to argue, hoping I can change your belief. Everything is because of God. It’s His Will and action that allows Mary and the saints to hear our prayers.

There are many OT and Gospel references to God desiring our prayers and the prayers of the saint’s in Heaven.

We are one big family.

Here are a few:

Matt. 5:44-45 - Jesus tells us to pray for (to mediate on behalf of) those who persecute us. God instructs us to mediate.

Matt. 17:1-3; Mark 9:4; Luke 9:30-31 – deceased Moses and Elijah appear at the Transfiguration to converse with Jesus in the presence of Peter, James and John (these may be the two “witnesses” John refers to in Rev. 11:3). Nothing in Scripture ever suggests that God abhors or cuts off communication between the living in heaven and the living on earth. To the contrary, God encourages communication within the communion of saints. Moses and Elijah’s appearance on earth also teach us that the saints in heaven have capabilities that far surpass our limitations on earth.

164. The Coming Supreme Court Decision

Mary:

Those in power lay truth is laid aside and pick up lies instead. Armed with lies, they believe that they can easily conquer and deceive the people. Their lies are spread out before them, like in battle array. They know which lies to send out first (to soften people up so to speak). Then, they can bring out the hard lies that will shake people’s convictions and have them give up what they hold on to as true.

This is the political game which Satan, the father of lies, orchestrates so that people whom he controls can gain power. But, I know his game. I see his strategy and I know what needs to be done to foil his plots. So, let us begin. This is what I will do.

I will take the people whom he holds in his grasp and I will publicly strip them of all credibility. I will use the truth, the truth that reveals their hearts, their misdeeds and their evil intention. When you see this happen, one after another, when one after another of your political leaders and those who share their power are exposed by the truth, then you know that I am working to bring about elections that will be held in the truth.

The great MOMENT OF EXPOSURE will take place when the Supreme Court passes judgment on the health care. This will force all the truth to the surface. Nothing will be able to be hidden. It will all gush forth for all to see. This decision will be so much in the limelight that no hidden powers (the behind the scenes powers) will be able to cover up the darkness that took place. When this decision is handed down it will level off the playing field. Truth will have a chance to emerge.

In all of this, you can see that your heavenly Mother is doing all she can to make this election an election of truth. But all must do their part. Live in the truth. Demand the truth from your leaders. Propagate the truth by every possible means. There will be surprising moments and unbelievable revelations about what has happened. I am the Mother of truth.

You must really be budist or hindu.

God’s word is the total basis of my life. (not the poope’s word, or some demonic jesuit’s word)

I am not Buddhist or Hindu. Please note the correct spelling of teh word Buddhist. When someone can’t spell a word, I have to reason to believe that person has much of understanding of what it represents.

“God’s word is the total basis of my life.”

I see no evidence of that whatsoever. You would think that someone would know the verses I posted then. Yet there is no evidence of that.

“(not the poope’s word, or some demonic jesuit’s word)”

“demonic jesuit’s word”? Bigotry and ignorance seem more like the by-word at play there than “God’s word is the total basis of my life.”

I have no heavenly mother. Christ is my all in all and I worship Him and the Trinity alone. There is no fourth person. Do not fall into deception. Mary is no different in the kingdom than any other believer.

Thank you! They're all asleep until the first or second resurrections. How can anyone be in Heaven or Hell if they haven't been judged by God yet?

People will care how you spell Buddhist if you’re going to say someone who is not a Buddhist is a Buddhist.

“You, being a pagan catholic, wouldn’t know what to look for, beside bowing to icons and idols.”

I’m not pagan. I’m just Catholic. And you can’t offer any evidence that I am a pagan. Care to post any other fantasies out of the blue?

“Perhaps you’re ignorant of the jesuits’ record in south america?”

No, I am quite familiar with it. Hence, I know your remark makes no sense.

“Vile terror, murder, and tyranny is all they’re known for.”

Nope. But why let reality stop you from just posting nonsense?

I wish I could change your belief. Mary is a gift, Jesus
gave humanity His mother to help everyone get to Heaven.

It’s that simple. Mary is not God, she is not worshiped
and if I say it 10,000 times, Catholics will still be
accused.

Did you know, the first Protestant “reformers” did not reject Mary, who she is. Free Will...but, you could just think about Our Lord’s mother as your mother.

Remember Cana, Jesus wasn’t ready but could not say no
to His beloved mother. This is a lesson in Scripture.

Don’t follow the “serpent” who despises Mary. He laughs
at the Protestant rejection of Mary.

God bless you,

Actually there are two judgments: Particular and Final.

We are particularly judged when we die. Souls immedieately go to Heaven (or Purgatory before Heaven if cleansing is still necessary) or Hell. 1 Peter 4:17 seems to back up the idea that we are being judged NOW as well.

You can pray to Mary for help.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Many Catholics say they do not pray to Mary, just "ask" her things.

Catholic souls go to Purgatory, it seems their choice to do that may be honored by God.

Mainstream Christians go to heaven, there is no Purgatory for them.

That's true that they understood the Biblical Mary, however they did rail extensively on the "Worship/Invocation of the Saints. They rejected as Mary would, (being a true servant of God), the extra-curricular activities attributed to Mary after her death.

No, all souls who need it go to Purgatory.

“Mainstream Christians go to heaven, there is no Purgatory for them.”

Catholics are mainstream. Protestants are sectarians. They sects were started by men going no further back than the 16th century. They too go to Purgatory if that is needed. Even some Protestants have believed in Purgatory

CS Lewis, for instance: http://www.angelfire.com/pa3/OldWorldBasic/purgatorycslewis.htm

And even Pastor james David Manning of Obama “Long Legged Mack Daddy” fame.

I certainly didn't mean to inspire a dig at Protestants from you.

I don't follow "they sects."

Christianity started in the first century.

What ever was started later, Catholicism, Protestantism, LDS etc isn't of much concern to me, except when extra-Biblical statements are broad-brushed onto other Christians.

As far as the references made, declarations of men don't trump the Bible.

If Protestants and Manning and his congregation wish to believe in Purgatory that is their choice, as it is with Catholics.

The Blood of Jesus to white as snow.

I bet you are a member of a sect.

“Christianity started in the first century.”

Yes.

“What ever was started later, Catholicism, Protestantism, LDS etc isn’t of much concern to me, except when extra-Biblical statements are broad-brushed onto other Christians.”

The Catholic faith was established by Christ in the first century.

“As far as the references made, declarations of men don’t trump the Bible.”

I see no reason to believe that you know much about either.

“If Protestants and Manning and his congregation wish to believe in Purgatory that is their choice, as it is with Catholics.”

It is not the choice of Catholics. It is the faith. Purgatory exists whether men believe in it or not.

“The Blood of Jesus to white as snow.”

And that continues for some in Purgatory.

You wrote: "Many Catholics say they do not pray to Mary, just "ask" her things." You might want to get a dictionary and look up the meaning of "to pray". It means "to ask". Here: Middle English, from Anglo-French prier, praer, preier, from Latin precari, from prec-, prex request, prayer; akin to Old High German frāga question, frāgēn to ask, Sanskrit pṛcchati he asks First Known Use: 13th century Synonyms: appeal (to), beseech, besiege, conjure, entreat, impetrate, implore, importune, petition, plead (to), beg, solicit, supplicate
