Even they don’t get it. Outside of a war of 1812 torching, many going to prison in sacrifice, a targeted citizens revolt (with drawing, quartering and holes dug) or the Lord himself coming down they’re blind.
As I said many moons ago, this should have been taken care of before the election (I got ‘They’ll say it’s like Gore or we’re racist’). I told them we should picket the press... daily. I tried to warn people about this guy... to no avail.

I know it wouldn’t make a difference, but what recourse could be had? Would it even be investigated?

You need to reread. I didn't blame Reagan. But they knew GHWB was pro-abortion; that he called Reagan's plans "Voodoo economics", and that GHWB was not a conservative. He was a New England, country club Republican, and so was W.
I said it was the most regrettably part of Reagan's legacy because Bush undercut so much of what Reagan accomplished, and he did.
