Just got my dental insurance premium increase for the second half of 2012. Can't wait to see what Obamacare does to my Tricare medical insurance.

Regardless, the troopers will bow to The One and the senior brass will follow any political path he sows...
I weep for my country.

Under OsamaObamaCare you retired military guys,as a display of gratitude for your selfless service, won’t have to wait nine months for a life saving heart operation like most of us will....you’ll only have to wait eight.

Dental Insurance Rate Jumps 18%
Eighteen per cent is not that big of a deal. My dental insurance went up 100% a few years ago so I dropped it.
That was the same year my health insurance went from $150/mo to almost $500.
I had to switch to a high deductable ($1200) plan and still paid over $250/mo.

Medicaid brood mares, crack whores, 3rd & 4th generation Welfare queens, and Illegal Immigrants and all their bastard offspring get free medical care (and more).

Those of us who defended our country, went to war, followed the rules.... we get crapped on and are required to pay for it.

Welcome to Obamaland. My wife’s private insurance premiums went up 20% from 2011 to 2012.

My military Dental plan also went up. I've decided to self insure. No root canals for me. When that time comes just pull it! Also my Retiree Tricare drug cost share went up 75% and I read Obumer is annoyed at Congress for not increasing our Tricare premium. It doesn't apply to me however because when I turned 65 I was forced to join Medicare and give up my military retirement primary medical coverage. Medicare costs me approximately $600.00 more per year than Tricare did. What a deal! 30 years in the military being told I would get medical for life and then.....”Oh, forgot to mention. You must be in Medicare when you turn 65.”

Please don't think I'm complaining. I don't expect anything from anybody. Just relating some facts. I always considered it an honor to serve and expected nothing in return except how I perceive myself in the mirror each morning when I shave.

Got mine too! I’m sure each year it’ll go up and will reach the point where retirees are dumping it because of cost...which I’m sure is the sole purpose. I’m very fortunate that my kids are covered 100% (at this point in time) due to the changes in benefits allowing dental to be included in their benefits due to the death of their father, and I only have to pay for individual. Can’t wait to see how far the medical rates jump!!

Your TriCare premium may be the least of your worries: Finding a good doc willing to accept or keep you, or getting post-1975 meds for much longer will be the kicker.

Lots of my patients are TriCare at the moment, but I will likely start limiting the ones I accept: Piss-poor reimbursement for difficult, time-consuming cases; totally unresponsive, uncooperative and at times antagonistic Navy hospital doctors and lab and pharmacy obstructing my care; selective formularies specializing in primitive medicines from days gone by. Just not worth it for me on any level in the short time I’ve got left before retiring early.

Don’t know which dental plan you have, but I got Delta Dental of California Federal Services. Mine only went up about 4.5% at the beginning of the year. Just checked my retiree account statement and it is still the same price of $68.93/month for the wife and I

I agree. Tri-Care pays out very Low rates. Worse than Medicare or Medicaid. My little hospital will not accept it. That tells you something cause they about accept anything. And it is a BIGGGG hassle. Patients go to the VA hospital then show up in our ER when sick and it is very time consuming. Have to get permission to admit before doing so or will NOT get paid. Sometimes the VA accepts the patient but patient has to wait hours for the VA to transport them. But, it has improved a little since the 1970’s but not much.
