Reince Priebus: I won’t toss Allen West in a ‘ditch’
Politico ^ | 4 Jul 2012 | MJ LEE

Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus says he’s not the “police officer” of the GOP and he refused to condemn Rep. Allen West’s controversial “slave” remarks.

Speaking at a campaign event in Port Saint Lucie, Fla., West had said over the weekend of President Barack Obama: “He does not want you to have the self-esteem of getting up and earning and having the title of American. He’d rather you be his slave and be economically dependent upon him.”

Asked by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Tuesday whether he would justify the Florida congressman’s remarks, Priebus answered, “I’m not the police officer of the Republican Party.”

He later added, “Allen West is an important member of Congress from South Florida. I’m not going to throw Allen West in a ditch.”

“Allen can say what Allen wants to say, but I think what he’s really trying to say is that if we become a dependent society, if everyone is reliant on the government — I mean, listen,” Priebus told Blitzer. “Barack Obama’s the one that put out this ‘Life of Julia’ website. I think we all know what that is. It’s a life of a girl from preschool to, I think, death or near death showing how every step of her life — “

“Is she a slave?” Blitzer interrupted.

Priebus shot back, “You know what? Listen, it’s semantics.”

But before he could finish, Blitzer once again cut in, saying, “I deplore that kind of language when a Democrat says it or a Republican. We shouldn’t be talking like this. It’s bad enough, the lack of civility in our politics.”

“One, Allen West is one of the most dynamic new Republican stars in our party. … He’s got a bright future,” he said. “What I’m more embarrassed about is the president that can’t keep a promise, that has an American economy that’s in the ditch, that somehow is trying to perpetrate some myth to the American people that he’s not to blame or has no role in where we are in the American economy.”....................Amen to that.

He’s a goofball. No wonder his station’s ratings are in thc gutter. And for him to talk of “Civility” is laughable. No one speaks with more childish, outrageous tongues than Wolfie’s cohorts in the SRM or Demonrat Party.

"A Lesson in Irony"

The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is actually proud of the fact it is distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals."

Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.

Slavery and dependence for humans - independence for animals.

This ends today's lesson.

Representative Allen West has more patriotic sense of being in his little finger than Obama has had anytime in his miserable misdirected life. Obama would be very famousin Kenya. Let’s send him back to that life. See if he thinks how great it is.
Wolf the Blitzer is as clueless as any moderator could be. Just look at his ratings. The only ones that watch him are those on EBT cards, prisoners, and idiots. I object to any article posted on FR with him in it. Leave him to his audience, they don’t amount to a hill of beans.

Applause for Priebus. Usually, the Republican would fold like a house of cards and apologize, while a Dem would get a pass. It’s refreshing to see a Republican with a backbone.

I don’t understand why repubs go onto any of these rat programs. They’re not going to change any of the viewers minds. Besides the host usually has an agenda to make the repub look like a fool. Just my opinion.

How many times did Blitzer make derogatory remarks about Bush? How many times has he parroted the RAT line on the issue of the day?

For Blitzer - or any RAT, for that matter - is like Jasmine St. Claire advocating chastity.

West’s remarks are not condemnable nor controversial.
Indeed, Americans are slaves of Obama’s radical and socialist policies.
Is the word “slave” now a racist word?!! True to form, Blitzer was being the low-rated partisan TV journalist that he is.

That’s good, because I’ll vote for Allen West way, way before I’d vote for vapid dorkoramus RINOmney.

(Yes, I’ll hold my nose and vote for the RINO over the ObamaCretin, but face it, West - on a bad day - has 1000% more cojones and drive than the RINO’s ever had.)

West did not call anyone a slave.
Blitz is getting worked up over the use of a keyword, as the left so often does, without bothering to analyze the context.
West said Obama wants people to be slaves, not that they are.
But I think they are, and they want to be.
However, slaves of old had to work hard, sometimes for very little or nothing. The had no freedom.
The "slaves" of today don't work but they get paid, and they gave up their freedom for it.
Those of is who still work and pay for this largesse, we are the actual slaves. Hmm.
