It’s desperation time for liberals. I don’t give a rats ass what idiots like this chucklehead say. The fact is Obama is bad for America and he’s going to get flushed in November. End of story.

“...the unsaid racial tensions...”

They would be nonexistent racial tensions if the race mongers like Chris Rock couldn’t make money off of peddling hate. White America kicked in to help elect an unqualified, incompetent, half-witted, commie, Muslim fraud because he was black and creased his pants. All that accomplished was more noise from the race mongers. They only know how to play one note over and over.

Unless, of course Chris Rock’s ancestry derives from the black tribal leaders who sold their own and their enemies into slavery TO the muslim arab traders.... which would explain a lot.

What he is is yet another race pimp, with a cheap laugh brought by false self righteousness. Only induced guilt whites would laugh at this... that and pissed off blacks who do not think they have had enough....hep.

Sickening.

Slaves weren't freed for another 90 years.

Slavery was accepted by the Bible and Aristotle. When the Constitution was written, slavery was considered by some to be positive because it was a way to allow some to have enough free time to develop benefits for the population as a whole.

And they also conveniently forget the alternative. Their ancestors wouldn't have been brought to America. They would have either been sold by Obama's ancestors into other slave markets or, more likely, simply been exterminated in tribal warfare.

A real "Inconvenient Truth".

In our town the authorities have been calling 'Spare the Air' days on Thanksgiving and Christmas for years now. Meaning no fires in the fireplace, no yule log.

Oddly, they typically do not call them before and afterwards (if they do the local news does not announce them), but always on the 25th.

IMO its done intentionally.

What does Chris Rock know about past injustices. This POS is a friggin millionaire from making fun of his own people.

The very definition of irony, or hypocrisy, if you prefer.;o)

...it’s not really hard to do, last time I watched anything with Hanoi Jane in it, was Barbarella, of course that was 68 and I was still a teen....
I don’t watch anything with George Lopez, which is real easy because I don’t find him funny at all, if anything annoying.

Liberal Socialists have created a subculture of bitter unappreciative Parasites who slap the hand that feeds them. Like house guests from hell....who constantly complain about your food and the service, and they don’t like anything about you or your house, but they won’t stop eating there, and they’re too lazy to leave. The vicious Hate America comments left by the black Chris Rock fans, are not by African Americans, but rather Africans in America. A subculture separate and unequal by choice of their own racism and hatred.

Why do you think there are so many black Jeffersons, Jacksons, etc.?

Just for the record, only a small fraction of them were due to sexual relations between white slave owners and black slaves, although the presence of such matches is not uncommon somewhere in the family tree due to the doubling of potential ancestors in each generation back.

The majority of them opted for names of famous people in lieu of taking the surname of their former owners shortly after slavery ended in 1865. Booker T. Washington, in his epic autobiography Up From Slavery discusses this in depth.

Ironically, the one thing the more ambitious of these newly freed slaves sought was education. Look up the Niagara Movement and establishment of ad hoc schools such as the one in Harper's Ferry, West Virginia, which birthed the NAACP. The leftwing leadership of today would have been disowned by the founders of their movements who, against all odds, were successful in promoting the same education in white man's world which is ridiculed by the leftwing leadership of today.

I understand the historical implications, but doesn’t it strike you as peculiar that entire generations of freedmen decided to take the family name of a man who would see them enslaved for a thousand years if he could (Jackson)?

I went through the cultural sensitivity training stuff as an undergrad in college. We were forced to take several “multicultural” courses focusing on black history or women’s suffrage. To be honest, I became enamored by black history and very much enjoyed reading about our nation’s history through that lens. It truly gives one a different perspective about life in early America, but I would constantly strike up arguments and receive looks of disgust in class when I would bring up facts such as blacks actually being better off here in America as slaves.

The people left behind in present-day Cote d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, and Ghana were treated far beyond inhumanely. Here in the US, blacks were given shelter, food, clothes, and were at least treated as human. Yes, I understand that they were often abused, the women raped, etc., but compared to life in sub-Saharan Africa, they had it good. And now, the ancestors of those slaves are living high on the hog here in the US, most of them, at the least, getting three-hots-and-a-cot in the local lockup or funneling off of my tax dollars through Medicare, WIC, or any of the multitude of programs available to unwed black mothers who find it difficult to discontinue reproduction.

To have Chris Rock, a millionaire, denigrate the United States is, to me, the ultimate insult and worthy of a derisive sneer since, in all likelihood, his parents and those before them fought a very difficult battle in the 1950s for their freedom that is no taken for granted by Rock and the other idiot celebritards out there who find America so repulsive simply because of her past and not great for how far she’s come.

You're right. I could understand black people naming themselves after slave holders like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Both had serious reservations about the practice. Washington's will, as you are probably aware, arranged to free them all after Martha had passed.

Jackson had no such reservations. He did, however, free some here and there on a case by case by case basis. Mostly those who had fought valiantly against the British in the War of 1812 or in the Indian Wars in the southeast when recruits were particularly hard to raise.

Native Americans take a far less kindly view of Andy Jackson. I have distant relatives who died on the Trail of Tears, a wholly brutal and unnecessary expulsion fueled by Jackson's hatred of all Indians and their past alliances with the British, whom Jackson hated even more.

The Cherokee, in particular, made extraordinary efforts to adapt to white man's world. The generously gave their daughters as frontier spouses (including my 2x great-grandmother who was spared from the expulsion order only because she was married to a white man). The used white man's courts, white man's law, white man's education system and made sure many Cherokee were amply trained in it. In the end, it didn't matter, they were forced to join the expulsion exodus. The only ones which remained behind were, like the Seminoles in Florida, did so only because they remained behind in such geographically remote areas of the southeast that it was impossible to round them up.
