Oh, they respond you betcha! Remember the Bush/McCain Amnesty Plan? Both of them initially support it via public statements. They were bitch-slapped back to the Stone Age by consituents! It does work. Have your friends, relatives and neighbors email or write them. Threaten the worst. They're quisling equivocators, but they know where their votes come from!
