14 reasons why this is the worst Congress ever (barf alert)
Washington Post ^ | July 13, 2012 at 8:00 am | Ezra Klein

This week, the House of Representatives voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act. On its own, such a vote would be unremarkable. Republicans control the House, they oppose President Obama’s health reform law, and so they voted to get rid of it.

But here’s the punchline: This was the 32nd time they voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

Holding that vote once makes sense. Republicans had promised that much during the 2010 campaign. But 32 times? If doing the same thing twice and expecting a different result makes you insane, what does doing the same thing 32 times and expecting a different result make you?

Well, it makes you the 112th Congress.

Hating on Congress is a beloved American tradition. Hence Mark Twain’s old joke, “Reader, suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself.” But the 112th Congress is no ordinary congress. It’s a very bad, no good, terrible Congress. It is, in fact, one of the very worst congresses we have ever had. …

The only thing that Senate Democrats get slammed over is so-called “budget shenanigans”—because they won’t sign off on the president’s budget. Other than that, it’s Klein on the Evil GOP.

" If doing the same thing twice and expecting a different result makes you insane, what does doing the same thing 32 times and expecting a different result make you?"

Actually, the assh$les that call themselves "Democrats", aka, "Progressive" keep taxing everything in sight, raising taxes, over-regulating via Fiat, etc., over and over and over. Why not look at WHAT THAT'S DONE TO THIS ONCE-GREAT COUNTRY, you dildo?

It’s just Ezra Klein. We’re not reading anything credible.

As for the “worst” Congress ever... no...that was the notorious 111th, Ezra. Now back to your corner.

Hold up there Ezra.
Not going to allow you to get away with this.
American citizens oppose Obama care. The MAJORITY of American want the law overturned or removed. In not the Congress a representative of the people? Then they are doing the will of the people.

Before reading the article, I was fully prepared to say that I was in agreement with at least 2-3 points, if only due to the law of averages.

His passing remarks regarding the Senate's failure to pass budgets was merely a fig leaf to cover the nakedness of Klein's partisanship.

Ezra obviously got his talking points from Axelrod & Plouffe.

I give the House high marks. They have passed many good bills and sent them on to the Senate where Reid won’t allow them on the floor for debate. They have produced a budget each year that the Senate will never act upon. IMO they have done well but have been out-numbered 3-1 The House versus the Senate plus the White House plus the SCOTUS. And then they get tarred by the public with the same brush as the Senate which has been a disaster.

Uh, maybe something like this.........My Democrat opponent for U.S. House of Representatives has voted over 30 times to force socialized medicine on you and most other Americans, at a terrible cost............higher premiums, less coverage, long lines to see a doctor not of your choice.............much needed tests, treatment and surgery denied.........all of this forced by the IRS and thoughtless bureaucrats controlling every aspect of your lives...........over 30 times, my Democrat opponent voted over 30 times for this living hell for you and most other Americans.

30 TIMES........AND YOUR KIDS AND GRANDKIDS WILL BE PAYING FOR IT FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES........30 TIMES.......30 TIMES........30 TIMES........

My guess is that the Congressional leaders are weak and detestable, not the members of Congress. We have many Conservatives there who are not allowed to say much but would do a fine job if allowed.....not necessarily mine. He is a do nothing.
