Sorry if I misunderstood your point, Kent. My mistake.

I am simply appalled that republicans were stuck with this candidate.

It was an issue, and that was only about the most recent year(s). The question, however, is WHY?

Sure Obama did it in 2008 (releasing 2000-2007) and demanded Hillary do the same but so what?

Candidates aren't required to release tax returns. McCain and prior didn't release a vast back history of returns.

Why let Obama set this standard while he hides everything else?

It's a case of phony disclosure and Junior High, "I showed your mind, you show me yours."

I did see in the WA Post the McCain campaign got over 20 years worth of tax returns from Romney as part of the VP vetting process.

This was Romney's reply ahead of the South Carolina primary.

"You know, I looked at what has been done in campaigns in the past with Sen. McCain and President George W. Bush and others. They have tended to release tax records in April or tax season. I hadn't planned on releasing tax records because the law requires us to release all of our assets, all the things we own. That I have already released. It's a pretty full disclosure. But, you know, if that's been the tradition and I'm not opposed to doing that, time will tell. ... I sort of feel like we are showing a lot of exposure at this point. And if I become our nominee, and what's happened in history is people have released them in about April of the coming year, and that's probably what I would do."

But Obama doesn’t have to show his real birth certificate.

No, Romney doesn't have to release those records, Obama has spent 4 years covering up, let him release his first.

The Democrats are trying to smear Romney and put in some class warfare as well.

Like Romney had a chance against Kennedy!

This is all smoke, from a guy who doesn't think he is required to release ANY records, including his own birth certificate.

When Obama does that, then I will be concerned about Romney.

I simply can't believe he's been planning this run this long and he didn't come up with solid, satisfying answers about Bain and offshore accounts. He looks like a freakin' deer in the headlights. He is such a bad candidate. And now we see what it looks like when he is up against someone who can spend as much as him. But....we were warned...by Perry, Gingrich, Santorum, Cain.

Actually, he was leading the race against Kennedy. He was bragging about running to the left of Kennedy. He was promising the homsexual community the world, and he was making deals with abortionists.

But, that's not how Kennedy killed him off.

Kennedy attacked Bain and succeeded beyond his wildest.

And when Gingrich and Perry attacked Bain, they succeeded beyond their wildest.

Now, Obama is taking the same route. Who could be surprised? Like it or not it will resonate, and it will destroy Mitt Romney.

I watched an absolute killer ad on a Hannity special with Frank Luntz Friday night. It was Obama attacking Romney over Bain.

Here's what was amazing about it, ftD. The lines went above 90 for BOTH democrats and republicans.

You can shout, "I wasn't working there day-to-day." all you want, but when they point out that you were the CEO, the lone shareholder, and the OWNER, it appears that you are in trouble.

And you can scream "It was just creative destruction, man." until you're blue in the face, but the little guy is gonna turn you off.

They don't give a rip about anything but preserving their own job.

Romney is a loser.

Obama needs to show his real birth certificate, college records, etc

Anyone not pursuing the Obama Birth Cert/Eligibility, by now, is helping Obama win

No one was ever going to beat Kennedy in Mass-period or be able to run to Kennedy's Left!

Bain is a non-issue to Americans, only political 'junkies' are interested in it.

We will see if he is a winner or loser in Nov.

If you are determined about voting 3rd Party, why are you concerned about Romney?

The 3rd Party candidate isn't going to win either.

Those who didn't vote for Romney in the primaries, understand conservatives reluctance in doing so, and that is fine.

What we have a hard time with is the constant bashing of the guy!

You don't like him, don't vote for him.

But he is the only alternative to Obama, so bashing him isn't helping anyone but Obama.

There is a real conservative in the race, and it makes sense to accurately tell the story about the liberals so folks will consider the conservative.

Since your candidate is inept and gonna lose anyway, Vote Conservative.

Vote Goode....because the lesser of 2 evils is still evil.

"I am simply appalled that republicans were stuck with this candidate."

Tough. Shit.

And get back to me when your boy Goode is on even half of the state ballots...

Right now 17 states -- where he finishes to figure with >1% of the vote -- is worth electoral squat.

It will change when it becomes evident to you that Romney is a loser.

With conservatives behind him, Goode could win.

We hope they wake up soon enough to realize that and that Romney’s a loser.

Join us, Jaime. He’s the only conservative in the race.

Well since I think that Romney still has a chance, I will still vote for him.

If he loses you can tell me, 'I told you so', and rejoice in the purity of your vote.

Nice pithy saying, but the fact is, voting for Goode is voting for Obama by default.

You can spin it anyway you want, but that is the reality of the situation.

ftD, you follow the polls, and we’ll see if Romney starts to get buried. At that point switch to the conservative.

I’m surprised that you’re supporting Romney, but I understand your logic. I just don’t accept it for myself.

I really don’t think Romney is any better. Why just a matter of weeks ago he was making public announcements in favor of gay couples! And not only that, he was declaring that gay couples at the state level should have the right to adopt kids!

And since Goode is on the ballot in Ohio, my vote for Goode will show up in the Goode column and not in the Romney Column, the Obama column, the Johnson column, the Green Party column, or any other column.

So, my vote will be for Goode. That is the fact. You analysis is that it helps Obama more than it helps Romney. My analysis is that it helps America more by firming up the foundation of a new 3rd party.

Which is my goal.

Join us ftD. Stand against the crowd. Stand with conservatism. Stand with the right, the righteous.

George should pick up O in a Chevy Volt and the two of them can make out.

I'd rather they just roll off a cliff. I'm not saying I would push them or anything but if it just happened out of the blue...

No, Romney doesn't have to release those records, Obama has spent 4 years covering up, let him release his first.

Then Romney shouldn't call for Obama to be transparent. I know the Democrats call for everyone else to be transparent but them. However, I would like to think that Romney holds himself to a higher standard. But that is only what I would like to think—not what I, reluctantly, believe.

The fact is that is how conservatives get suckered.

It is guilt by insinuation.

When he releases them, something else will be asked to be released.

The Democrats won't care about being 'fair'.

Time to stop playing by their rules.

Well, I can appreciate your viewpoint, but I don't think Goode is even on the ballot in Texas.

Is he Constitution Party?
