To: Travis McGee Just came across this on Hot Air: A few weeks ago, a man by the username of ‘JamesHolmes154′ posted a thread on 9gag saying he was going to ‘shoot up’ a theater. He was clearly distressed and admitted he was suffering from PTSD. He said he was going to walk in and try to take as much lifes as possible. All need to take a breath. A horrendous crime has been committed and thank the good work of the police that they caught the guy quickly, amongst the panic, confusion and bloodshed. Remarkable in itself. Let’s let them complete their investigation.

Good find. I wonder if his mother was aware of that post or had heard him making statements to that effect. That would explain her remarks but also bring up questions as to whether she did anything to try to stop him (Baker Act him?) or alert authorities that he might be dangerous. Tough situation for a mother to be in though.

Yours is one of the most sensible posts I've seen today.

It absolutely drives me crazy (or perhaps, crazier) to see FReepers making assumptions when something like this happens, in order to fit their pet theories, particularly about Islamic terrorism.

Then, when facts start to emerge that contradict their assumptions, they begin to twist themselves into pretzels in order to be able to cling to their initial theories. "He must be a convert." "This must be a media/government conspiracy to suppress the truth."
