Savannah Dietrich, 17, could be locked up on contempt-of-court charges for tweeting the names of her attackers after they allegedly got a sweetheart plea bargain, according to a published report. * * * The judge in the case had further protected the sex fiends by placing a gag order that barred Dietrich from talking about what happened to her.

She outed them and has been held in contempt of court. Good for her.

“How would they like it if it happened to their sister or girlfriend? How would you like it?...”

If my sister or girlfriend where dumb enough to do what this gal did I’d disown them for being so stupid even Darwin would have to admit they needed to go extinct. She is not an innocent victim! It’s not like a bunch of drunken kids were running around assaulting women at random. She behaved badly and paid the price, what is so darn hard about the concept that actions have consequences with you people? Have you so totally drunk the feminist poison that you can’t see that. Why are you so willfully ignorant when it comes to these things that have been know since the dawn of time? Pathetic, really pathetic.

If the judge punishes the victim, the judge loses all leverage and the victim is then free to publish anything she wants.

Life is no skittles and unicorns, it’s very screwed up that she was sexually assaulted. I have nothing left to say to you. This has nothing to do with what you perceive as burying my head or unwilling to view another view. I have heard your view and others like it, it is because I am fully and painfully aware of what is going on. I find your thought process seriously backwards and there probably is nothing left to discuss with you. I find your views to be a serious disgrace, perhaps you were jilted at a time and have some kind of vandetta against women. It’s really difficult to say what creates a thought process like yours, but, I’m glad I don’t know you personally. As far as FR is concerned, this will be the last post from me.

“...Unlawful orders are just that, unlawful. Of course they can in Saudi Arabia which is exactly where you belong.”

Ya tell that to all the dads in debtor prison on “contempt” charges, most of them being total broke and unable to pay to outrageous court set payments or the interest on the arrears. In case you haven’t been paying attention the constitution is about a worthless as used toilet paper when it comes to protecting your rights. The judge can still throw you in jail, you have to have money to appeal it and that takes time, time spent sitting in jail by the way.

Actually, lots of young people get drunk without sexually abusing others who have passed out. Being drunk is not an excuse for also being a criminal. Alcohol merely loosens inhibitions like the fear of being punished, it did not cause the criminal idea to sexually assault and photograph the victim, nor to post the evidence on the internet.

They shared those pictures for months, thinking they got away with it, in itself a federal felony (underage porn).

I can't believe YOU believe what you type..these guys were wrong to have video taped this girl and then pass around the pics to their friends. They don't get a free pass just because they were drunk including the woman in question.

And not kill her for shaming you? You surprise me for your leniency. I guess you are one of the moderates.

Bloviate about Judge Judy all you want but it was your DISGUSTING support of RAPE that got your post pulled.
I’d tell you to get out more but you shouldn’t be out on the streets. We’ll all be safer if your type of misogynistic personality sticks to being a keyboard commando.

Who hasn’t done bone stupid things when drunk at that age?

Ummm. Moi? I've done some bone stupid things, and I continue to do them at my age, but given that I never drank in my life and have never been drunk, I'll say: moi?

My whole point was objecting to the idea that the young girl had no basis to complain about being sexually abused because she chose to get drunk around young men. Sorry. Drunk women don't lose the right to complain about being raped.

Being drunk doesn't give you an excuse for committing a rape, driving a car into a crowd of bystanders, shooting up a bar, or voting for Obama.

Ever been to a frat party? I get the feeling that you’re beliefs would be badly shaken if you had... just saying.

I have done some really stoopid stuff while being drunk(and not drunk as well) and I bet 3/4 of the posters on FR have as well...maybe even when not drunk. Everyone makes mistakes in life they wish never happened. That is part of growing up and learning from your mistakes.

Women will complain no matter what, you even have some that complain that they weren’t molested when drunk! but that’s another story ...

I was in a fraternity (ATO) and women were NEVER abused like this and we had some h*ll of crazy parties. These guys went over the line. You don't abuse passed out women and tape it and then forward it to your friends.

In retrospect, actually not, because it is not a separate charge, but a contempt charge. Contempt is strange law, because the judge that finds someone in contempt is solely responsible for meting out their punishment, that is, no jury. And contempt is also “perpetual” in a situation like this. This means every time she opened her mouth, as it were, the judge could slap an additional contempt charge on her.

So what she should do is get all the information out, and to someone the judge cannot touch, so that if she is punished, the truth keeps coming out.

In the meantime, keep up the pressure on the judge for being unfair, and letting the boys go with a “wrist slap”.
