Virginia Politics ^

Posted on 07/25/2012 6:30:17 PM PDT by mnehring

With a little help from his friends, former congressman Virgil Goode has taken a key step toward getting his name on November’s presidential ballot in Virginia, submitting more than 14,000 signatures to the State Board of Elections....

..Goode was a Democrat for much of his career, then became an Independent and finally a Republican for his last six years on Capitol Hill. Now Goode is getting assistance from yet another party, the Independent Greens, whose members have collected thousands of signatures for him....

...“Virgil supports rail, and that’s our big issue and he’s with us on that,” said Carey Campbell, a member of the Independent Greens executive committee. “We’ve had for many years a good relationship with the Constitution Party folks.”...

Consider the voter characteristics of New York City. 68 percent of New York City's registered voters are Democrats. Bloomberg is one of them. He switched from the Democrat Party to run as a Republican with a net worth of $22 billion. He could afford to outspend any other candidate. With Giuliani's endorsement, his election as a Republican to be New York City's mayor was successful. And he has since been reelected to a third term.

Sometimes democracy is like making sausage . . .

Well, it certainly isn’t going to matter in the state of VA. I hear that the Democrats are registering not only the dead, but dogs and cats and illegals in that state.

Excellent pledge, Norm. Let’s see how many sign it.

Ha Ha Ha.

Hi, X. Just sayin' hi. Just had a really fine time (in the rain) cookin' a fat hog for a big family reunion. Saw an absolutely beautiful 5 year old grandniece there.

And Yes.

By my consent...

Sorry. You didn't deserve that. But there are others.

You pulled the “supported the election of Pelosi” part from thin air.

You did not have a clue.

You made it up.

It’s obvious that you did, because you didn’t have the foggiest idea about the date.

And your a conservative voting for the former Dem who is now being pushed by the greenies??
The Mitt-haters are clearly dissembling and grasping at straws. Soooooo sad to watch adults stomping their feet and at the very least helping Obama.

“I, __________________, declare that I have decided that conservatism has failed and as such, I will vote for the Republican Mitt Romney anyone who will help reelect Bambi, A man whose history I am aware of regarding his liberalism radical, anti-American, hateful Marxism. It is with open eyes and no regrets that I will disavow everything I believe conservative ideals and the American Constitution ever stood for just to get allow Obama out of office another four years to destroy everything we love. Further, by doing so, I accept that I adopted the very things I formerly despised to get a liberal radical Marxist reelected President and henceforth I have no legitimate right to ever be trustworthy again - since my newly adopted situational ethics allow me to bend like a twig in the prevailing political winds. Signed, _____________________________” --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So have some integrate Romney Bambi fans. Sign the above statement and stop pretending conservatism guides you. Then again, anyone willingly voting for a lib, R or D, radical Marxist to be reelected has pretty clearly outed themselves regardless. That’s just reality.

Go ahead, integrate how stupid that is...........

Hey, I have this great idea, let's reenact Picketts charge to show how pure we are.......

Idiots. Unfrickingbelievable idiots.

You pulled the “supported the election of Pelosi” part from thin air.

I said that I was mistaken about the date.

I specifically looked up Goode's record, and saw the date Jan. 2009 and mistakenly thought that he was a Dem. thru that date.

Claiming that I pulled the date out of thin air is false.

Claiming that I was bearing false witness is false.

It’s obvious that you did, because you didn’t have the foggiest idea about the date.

Your comment is nonsense.

Clearly, the Greens understand that helping Goode get on the ballot helps Obama win the state. If he needs their help to get on the ballot, then he was never a viable candidate.

“No you can’t. Your enemy is radical liberalism. You are supporting radical liberal M instead of radical liberal O.

I am supporting CONSERVATIVE Candidate Goode.

You are supporting:

gay couples
gay adoption
gays in the military
romneycare
free abortions in romneycare
greater government revenue takings/fees/fines/asssessments
pro-choice
gun control
crony/social corporatism
illegal amnesty
hiring illegals”

By voting for someone who has a snowballs chance in hell, you’re actually voting for all of the above. Your logic is rather flawed. But hey, that’s ok, maybe your conscience can keep you going through the dark days of another 4 years of Obama...but hey, you sure showed those GOP-e types didn’t ya?

Can’t admit what you are Lake? Doesn’t matter. It shows. All the excuses in the world do not change the FACT that you are voting for a liberal and thinking yourself smart to do so.

Hint: It ain’t smart. Electing a lib and expecting him to be something else shows what an idiot really looks like. And since I’m not voting for a liberal with wide eyed and drooling ignorance, and you are, well...

But you just go back to your “Count of Sesame Street” routine like a good muppet. And we’ll all thank you as the dead babies continue piling up on a Planned Parenthood floor, the homos keep sodimizing each other and the uniform in military supported gay day parades and NOTHING gets better because a liberal cannot by definition make anything better. Only louse it up more.

Sorry, Free, that doesn't cut it.

a Republican for his last six years on Capitol Hill

The above is just the SECOND sentence in the article that leads this thread.

It is now 2012. 2009 was just 3 years ago.

If he spent his last 6 years as a Republican, there was no way...none...nada...zilch..zero way he would have been voting for Pelosi in 2009.

Thin flippin' Air!

Idiots. Unfrickingbelievable idiots.

Small point of disagreement here.

Had you been actually reading and seeing what is going on here, and I know you have, you would have to agree that it is not so unfreeking believable after all.

What is unfreakingbelieveable is that conservatives who have spent much of their political lives in the firm conviction that liberalism is responsible for the destruction of America, are now suddenly gung ho to vote one into the presidency so he can ‘save’ the country and ‘fix’ the other liberal’s reign of error.

Now exactly what part of that is incorrect? Don’t go off on a tangent about how bad Obama is, just address the above. Directly and without excuses.

Did I say that I read the second sentence in the article.

You pulled that assumption out of thin air.

That's three assumptions out of thin air by you, while my mistake was only one.

You seem to have a hard time admitting that you are wrong. Instead you rationalize your mistake, over-and-over again.

I have a long record on this board of posting what I think is the truth.

Yet I'm accused by a Chaplain and somebody who has been here long enough to know better that I'm lying.

I don't know what your problem is but I'm thru with your nonsense.

Is there any Romneybot out there even capable of addressing an issue in a serious manner without resorting to lockerroom bullshit?

Not one of you has so far. Just lots of the same tactics the libs use. Guess you can’t ‘support’ your chosen candidate with anything more than “He aint Obama”. Gee, wasn’t that what we mocked Kerry and Obama fans for in the last two elections?

Why yes...yes it was. And here you are acting just like them and using the exact same reason for supporting Mitt Romney. I’ll keep my ‘purity’ and my ‘principles’, thanks. You can enjoy whatever it is that you’ve become. Because it ain’t conservative.

The value is Ralph Nader. We need more independent parties. Are there any Tea Party candidates, and what about Libertarians.
