President Barack Obama was set to announce an executive order aimed at improving the performance of African-American students as he addresses the Urban League Wednesday night.
The speech to the civil rights group is an opportunity for the president to reach out to some of his most loyal supporters, African-Americans, who as a group have struggled more than most Americans in the tough economy.

Indeed. Too little, too late. Or rather, by election time no one will have seen a penny from Obama's stash but they all see him on the golf course or jamming with the Hollywoods.

Predictable move. Just in time for the elections. Secure that vote of African Americans/Blacks. Promise them everything and anything. Just like he did 4 years ago...just like the Dems always do...he’s gonna give them “twenty acres and a mule.”

Absolutely not!! A’s are a very special thing and they need to remain special. The only FAIR thing to do is to take some of the A’s from those who earn more than their fair share and REDISTRIBUTE them to those hardworking students who have been given too few A’s. Those “A Student” 1-percenters have been getting many of those A’s as a result of the sweat, toil and hard work of the 99-percenters. It’s long past due that we have fairness and social justice in our grading system.
But to insure that these so called straight A students continue to work, I think we should limit the “A Tax” to no more than 75% of any given person’s A’s.
Best answer: School vouchers.

All other ethnic and racial groups must be made to do less well in a concerted effort to bolster the self-esteem of African-American students, who presently suffer by comparison.
The word of The Obama shall be enforced by equipping every town in the land with an African-American School Superintendent and by making the Superintendent's spouse "Diversity Coordinator" for that town. Combined salary: $500,000 per annum. Settlement upon termination because of racism: $5 Million.

The affirmative action policies in the US, which have spread from government jobs to colleges and now into private sector hiring, are blatantly illegal and evil. The small businesses shuttering up in this economy will be re-opened by “preferred Americans” (blacks, Hispanics, women) with all sorts of aid by the government, while white males (and therefore “white America”) fade further into obscurity economically, politically, and demographically. White women will whine that they can’t find marriage material in the juvenile, tattooed masses of unemployed white men (and have that mantra repeated ad nauseum through the media), while those men, seeing no real chance of providing for families, wisely remain single and childless rather than deal with the servitude of alimony and child support. “Replacement Americans” will continue to be imported from Latin America and Asia, and America will increasingly resemble their homelands.
I don’t know how they think parents like me will explain this to our male children, but they’re not going to like it; we’ll make the “Million Man March” look like a burst of patriotic fervor.

It is a strategy that can work; until white women realize their inability to have families is directly tied to affirmative action, they continue to contribute to their own demise. When education and jobs are placed so far out of reach for white men, why would they start families? If they can’t raise families, then why even get married (with the legal and financial risks that places on men)?
There was a recent hubbub about how college classes were going to pass 60% in terms of the female students (they were afraid that it would be used as rationale for eliminating admission/financial aid preferences for women); the fact that they were at 59% was completely acceptable (despite the long-term implications of this).
Straight white males are in the crosshairs of the government in terms of policies, and are facing the same fate as black men did when government policies made them irrelevant. These policies are done openly, with approval from the Supreme Court, and are an outright declaration of political and economic war. Like blacks, the numbers of whites are falling; white women best start learning conversational Spanish, Hindi, or Chinese if they hope to have a family (if any men from those groups would even have them).

I recall Bush speaking out against the “soft bigotry of affirmative action”, but nothing was done about it. It is so blatantly designed to marginalize white men (openly and legally) that outside of abortion, I can think of nothing more sinister done by our government. Issues like “gay marriage” and socialized medicine mean little when it is practically illegal to educate, hire or promote a white guy.
Government approved money laundering by diverting federal funds (tax dollars) to the AA program. People are too stupid to realize what it really is.
You are making the assumption that there's only a finite number of A's to give out. You forget that we can always borrow A's from friendly countries like China.
Romney should be getting writer’s cramp on Jan 20, 2013 when he is writing NEW Executive Orders to REVERSE all & everything Obama signed.
