MASSIVE LINES at Chick-fil-A on “National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day”
Gateway Pundit ^ | 8-1-2012 | Andrea Ryan

Today is “National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”

After intolerant and First Amendment-hating Chicago politicians blocked Chick-fil-A from building a restaurant, former Governor Mike Huckabee announced his support for the restaurant chain and its Constitutional right of free speech. He declared today Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.

Allen sent this picture from west county St. Louis.

Allen added: People are standing in line 100+ deep to go inside. The lines go out and around the building. Two lines of drive through cars are around the shopping center.

St. Louisans also came out in huge numbers to show their support for the First Amendment.
The lot was jam-packed…
(Mike took these photos in Chesterfield, Missouri.)

The line goes around the block.

The line of cars wraps all the way around to the main boulevard, where the line still continues.

The surrounding streets and parking lots are packed.

The restaurant is full and the line goes out the door.

Normally, with this crowd volume you would expect short tempers and bedlam. That’s not the case today at Chick-fil-A. While the surrounding restaurant chains are empty, the people in this line are happily making a statement, talking to each other with smiles on their faces. They’re patriots taking a stand against a gross violation of our First Amendment right. And they are doing it in 100 degree temperatures.

Any bets if this will make the MSM tonight?

If you have more photos please send them in!

Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) bought Chick-fil-A for his office staff today.

Here’s a photo from Texas.

Ruth Wendelken sent this from Texas: This is at 11:15 at the Los Colinas Texas Chick-fil-a. Notice the line is three cars wide around the building. The line of foot traffic is huge. Notice the sign of 315 cars served at that time. Now in center line. Its a great day for Freedom of speech. Take that Boston, Chicago and San Francisco!

Visited twice today for two servings of nuggets, some fries, and tea—had never been before; I had this chain confused with another that I didn’t care for.

The food was good and the staff was very polite and efficient; I’ll be returning. The gay malcontents should know that they’ve given the chain some effective free advertising!

I suggest that everyone mail copies of their receipts to the mayors of Boston, Chicago, and DC—I plan to!

They sell coffee cups, and lots of other merchandise. I just ordered some in support, since I live too far away from any of their stores.

I live in Sugar Land but work in Stafford, TX. Went to the Chick-fil-a on 59 and West Airprort at 12:30 today. Took about 15 minutes and they have a double drive thru there. There were employees that were taking orders on walkie talkies before you got as far as the normal place you order with the speakers. Other employees were running out and taking the money and credit cards and bring back change an receipts before you got up to the window. When you got to the window, you were all set to pick up the food and go.
Very efficient.
I had 2 regular sandwiches, some nuggets and a large lemonade (still full 6 hrs later)

Amen. All of those who read our Bibles know how it’s going to turn out....but perhaps, in my illogical thinking, we can forestall it, or make it a little less severe.

I keep remembering Lot.....find me 100, find me 50, find me 10......find me 1.

Not exactly His words, but it still sticks with me.

I created a Prayer Thread for my cat Mimi. Honest to goodness, He heard ALL these prayers going to a cat, let alone a fellow FReeper, they did not know personally.

Mimi is now thriving. I truly believe if it weren’t for my fellow FReepers prayers and their thoughts about Mimi, it would not have gone as perfect as it did.

The Chick-fil-A here in Brandon, FL was a scene of wonderful organized chaos! Everyone was patient and courteous, the counter help and managers had everything going like a well-oiled machine, and there was even a magician who was making balloon animals and doing card tricks! A really festive atmosphere.

The one manager I spoke with stated the mob scene was pretty much all day, and there was no danger of running out of food. It only took us 40-45 minutes to get served and pick up our order, it was moving that well. Everyone in line compared the swift service to other food franchises who couldn't pull this off.

Another loyal customer satisfied!

We stopped by the Chic-fil-A in Lake Charles, LA around around lunchtime and could not even get near the place. The drive-thru lane wrapped around the place and then on out into the street. Their parking lot full and overflowing to a Wal-Mart lot beside it. We went back at 2pm and still had to park in Wal-Mart lot. Place was packed...standing room only. They were handling it well though. We had our order in about 5 minutes and back out the door. Pic of when we walked in at 2pm...well past lunchtime: Photobucket

I left 30 minutes early to try to get there in time. No joy. The line went down the street. They even had an employee down the street taking orders! The people line went out the door. This was an awesome showing! We went there last night just in case, so no foul.

Gives thought doesn't it? Americans (some) can still rise to the occasion. And without a lot of publicity or fanfare. Commies take notice, this is how we will "come out of the woodwork" to defend our constitution with force, if we have to. My wife is sitting ing in line at Chick Fil A in College Station,Tx. as I post to pick up our dinner. Says only about 8 more cars ahead of her, she's been there an hour!☺

What are talking about? I didn’t post anything from 1994. You may have me mixed up with someone else on this thread. I only stated that it would be refreshing to hear anything Mitt said that was definitive lately. Of course I can’t post anything to refute his earlier position, I haven’t heard it, have you?

WE JUST got back from Chick-Fil-A in Upland , California. When we got to the offramp at 1:30 it took us 5 minutes to exit the freeway it was so jammed!! LOL Police were quietly parked near by just watching.

It took us a hour and a half before we got up to the Drive through window. People were amazingly calm and happy. True AMERICANS!!! We spent money on gift certificates for Christmas and some great salads. The line to the walk-in was so long we stayed in the car and did the drive thru instead! WE WILL GO back! Best malt and salad I have ever eaten!!! Polly

“Everyone was patient and courteous”

That, without question, is the one difference of the type of people supporting this establishment.

When other interests for other products, such as sneakers, happen there are riots, shootings, stabbings, muggings, etc. Not at CFA. People are downright polite.

The CFA on Concord Parkway North in Concord, NC (just south of me) had traffic all the way around the building and out onto US 29/601. My wife had been down in Concord for the morning and stopped in to get some food...40 minutes in line and worth every second of it.

And of course, I’ve had a couple of people rage at me on Twitter about how I’m supporting such a hateful company...while they wish those of us who patronized CFA today would choke on our sandwiches and die. NO HATE THERE, LIBS.

Trust me, lefties. You do NOT want to see what happens if we ever *truly* start “hating” you. I pray it never happens and I doubt it ever will because so many of us on this side are Christians who try (not always successfully) to walk in love. But you damn well better fear the results if it ever does.
