Speaker Boehner: Obama has 'never even had a real job, for God's sake' By Justin Sink - 08/02/12 03:21 PM ET

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) lashed out at President Obama during an interview Tuesday, saying the president has "never even had a real job, for God's sake."

Boehner was discussing the presidential election, and accusing President Obama's campaign team of using "over-the-top" rhetoric to distract from his economic record.

"Sometimes I have to catch my breath and slow down because the rhetoric in this campaign is just so over-the-top," Bohener said during an appearance on "Kilmeade and Friends." "And that's because the president's policies have failed. Listen — 93 percent of Americans believe they're a part of the middle class. That's why you hear the president talk about the middle class every day, because he's talking to 93 percent of the American people."

Then the Ohio lawmaker lit into the president's qualifications to discuss job creation.

"But the president has never created a job. He's never even had a real job, for God's sake," Boehner said. "And I can tell you from my dealings with him, he has no idea how the real world, that we actually live in, works."

In the same interview, Boehner blasted Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) for his suggestion on the Senate floor Thursday that Mitt Romney paid no federal income taxes for a decade.

"I don't know how you go out there and make a statement like that without any facts," Boehner said. "It's one of the problems that occurs here in Washington, people run out there without any facts and just make noise. The American people are too smart for this, they'll get to the bottom of this, it clearly is not a fact, and I would think that the Senate majority leader would be smart enough to know that."

How soon before Boner prostrates himself before the media and begs forgiveness?

Writing to a former girlfriend, Maraniss says, Obama also "expressed a distaste for the corporate world." And in his engaging but unreliable memoir "Dreams from My Father," Obama described his time at Business International this way: "Like a spy behind enemy lines, I arrived every day at my mid-Manhattan office. ..." Obama wrote that he took the job only after his applications to several civil rights organizations were ignored.

Yet as Obama told it in "Dreams from My Father," he sometimes felt tempted to sell out during his time at Business International. After getting a promotion, Obama wrote, "I had my own office, my own secretary, money in the bank. Sometimes, coming out of an interview with Japanese financiers or German bond traders, I would catch my reflection in the elevator doors -- see myself in a suit and tie, a briefcase in hand -- and for a split second I would imagine myself as a captain of industry, barking out orders, closing the deal, before I remembered who it was that I had told myself I wanted to be and felt pangs of guilt for my lack of resolve."

Maraniss discovered most of that wasn't true; while Obama did have a tiny office, he didn't have his own secretary, didn't meet with financiers and bond traders, didn't even wear a suit to work. But the one true thing in that passage is Obama's antipathy for the business world.

Speaker Boehner: Obama has 'never even had a real job, for God's sake'

Dear Speaker Boehner....now that you have distilled such an excellent statement....and have it well memorized without using a teleprompter....

my I suggest that you replace ' a real job" by the following...as appropriate...

1. a birth certificate

2. a valid social security number

3. a security clearance

4. a current law licence

5. an understanding of basic economics

6 how the American Society works

....etc....

But not just Texas. One state you can chalk up as a fluke. They’ve had to sit and watch as one state after another voted out their entrenched RINO establishment elites. And it’s been accomplished not only without their help but DESPITE their interference.

The penny has finally dropped. It isn’t a fluke.

Do NOT mess with the Tea Party! . . You've gotta love this momentum.

So true. I hope it keeps building and reaches the peak on November 6th! The American people are finally starting to wake up. Keep sending those emails and articles to folks you know. Education is the key.

Go for it!

Loserville. This is a guy that if he were on my boat in the USN, we’d have thrown him over the side at about 0300 and maybe 800 miles from shore - just for laughs
