Horse manure smells "sweet" compared to those two. I used to take all neighboring farms' horse manure, mixed w/ hay, and compost it with crop residue, leaves, municipal grass mowings etc - all delivered to me in semi-trailers - to fertilizer the fields. The pile was 25-30,000 TONS in a season. That was a lot to turn 2x/yr in a JD backhoe, but was free and perfect 3-3-3 fert.sweet
