After all the shouting, tweeting and protesting is over, the fried-chicken empire of Chick-fil-A will be just fine. Sales at the company, which recently leapt into the debate over gay marriage, may even get a lift in the near term.

L.A. doesn't need NFL football,

I think the NFL owners love the fact that LA doesn't have a team. With the threat to move to LA, all of them can get new stadiums from the tax paying chumps. On the other hand, once a team moves to LA then the threat of the remaining teams moving to Portland, Oregon (largest metropolitan area without a team in easy driving range) just won't scare a stadium out of the current teams' cities.

Chick-fil-A did not leap into anything. It was dragged into a controversy of others’ invention.

Dear Dilbert, you couldn’t be more spot on! And the majority knows it.

“Chick will see a large surge in consumers in the short term, and a small surge in the long term.”

Well put and on the money, I think.

I heard a report on the radio that the franchise in Racine was packed from opening to closing. A caller on local talk radio said that he couldn’t get in at lunch, so he took his family there for supper around 7:30 pm. The line was around the mall and out the door.

Mall security told him that he probably wouldn’t make it into the resturant before Mall closing, but he elected to wait in line anyway. He said everyone in line was jovial and friendly. One person went to a pizza place next door and bought slices of pizza for some of the customers waiting in line.

Chick-fil-a managers came out with free cookies for those waiting in line, but Mall Security wouldn’t let them pass them out. At the end, the people who couldn’t get in the restaurant to eat took up a collection and donated money.

When the 9 pm closing was announced and the doors shut, those still waiting in line applauded and cheered Chick-fil-a. The talk show host was flabbergasted. He said he’d hever heard of such a reaction in all the years he’d tried to get people to attend meetings, etc.

I’m thinking ahead on where this could go.... I understand the pervs want to hold a kiss-in day at the Chick-fil-A chain. One assumes that they better be paying customers or they have no business being there. Perhaps on the day the pervs pick for their grand event, the rest of us could all go there, swamp the restaurants dwarfing them by sheer numbers and crowd them right out!

The chain probably won’t be a big hit in Northeast and Pacific Northwest so expansion into those places are unlikely.

We stopped tonight at 9:30 p.m. to grab a late dinner after a long day of meetings. The parking lot was full, inside the restaurant was full and both drive-thru lanes were jammed. Wonder if they are people who are left over from yesterday.

I was actually having a bad case of Peach Shake withdrawal and needed a “fix”. Young lady at the drive-thru window said they were “so out of everything ice cream”. There were two very large trucks there with more supplies. So happy for them.

Well I went there tonight! Good chicken!

I did not even know what this place was about (Chick-fil-A) until a week ago... But from now on, when I want fast food, I will go there!...

Somehow, the sandwich and the potatoes tasted especially good... :)

Jeff Bezos donated a considerable amount to pro-gay marriage groups last week.

1. Any calls for boycotts?

2. Any ‘controversy’ for a CEO entering a political matter?

3. Any protests?

Nothing. Barely a blip on the MSM radar because he supported the cause they support.

The goal here was to reframe the entire argument so that anyone for traditional marriage — 90%+ of the country — is now intolerant /extreme / hate speech / in danger of losing business or reputation.

Push the debate far to the left and create a new center line.

From “Do what you want in private and leave the rest of us alone” to “indoctrinate your children, use whatever bathrooms they want, marry and have all rights that implies, and anyone speaking against them is arrested.”

This should embolden any company that wants to side with the majority. It's one of the best advertising campaigns "never created" by a companies PR department.

There are so many scriptures that this whole episode reminds me of..... Romans 8:31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Genesis 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good.... Deuteronomy 6:10-12 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

“We’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore” This is much deeper than a discussion of free speech, homosexual rights, or supporting a company’s right to conduct business as they see fit.

What we are witnessing here is the beginning of the end of a fundamental shift in the common mans ability to express his distain for the Liberal ruling elite who for years have tired to shape and guide public opinion towards their twisted views.

Average Americans have so many more avenues to absorb true knowledge and factual evidence of what is happening in today’s world. We see the decline in values, the wickedness around us, the propaganda forced on us and our children and finally we are tired and ready to something about it. The TEA Party was born of this awareness.

What the question is now for patriots and common sense Americans is how far we will go to right the wrongs a hundred years of progressive liberalism has caused in the country’s slide to communism.

“Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” Our Fore Fathers deserve our very best, whatever that is.

So far the Gaystapo has managed to:

Show two faggies liplocking & giving the finger outside a CF-A (fag poster childs already)

Send some gay creep in to berate a Chick Fil-A employee and get his sorry @ss fired (hope U like ramen 7 days a week loser)

Get some lib to block the drive-up with his car & get arrested

Tomorrow’s Gay Highwater Mark Day. It’s all downhill after that. So tired of these drama queens.

Or should we call it Hetero Liberation Day!

And, “may even get a lift in the near term.”

I’d say that having to close your doors early `cause you ran out of food is an uplifting sign for a restaurant.

Correct. If they had just released statements calling on people to “boycott” the chain for Mr. Cathy’s beliefs this would not have turned into what it was. What they did was not only attack his beliefs, but they attacked his very right to believe them by threatening to take actions to prevent his business from being able to do business and using the power of government to do so. That’s when the battle lines got drawn. This was an attack not only on beliefs but on the right to even have the beliefs. And the people responded.

This sorry article is a reminder that while the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal is conservative, the rest of the paper is not.
