I don't believe that, but men like Reagan are very rare.

Most Presidents are either mediocre or poor.

Obama won’t get close to 270.

Right now I don’t see enough life out of Romney... he needs to step it up...

Personally, I think that's akin to wanting a fish to climb a set of ballroom stairs. A flip here, a flop there, but he doesn't manage to get anywhere.

We need a miracle at the convention.

He wants out and bad.

After all the benefits and parties, the responsibility thing has become a real drag.

That’s an interesting comment. I don’t know, the guy is playing it pretty tough for a guy that wants out.

I do think he’s out in November at any rate.

I don’t know guys, this one has an ego as large as a moderate size state. He thinks he’s doing Allah’s work, and he needs to do as much damage as he can. This is somewhat tongue in cheek, but not all that much. Even if I’m off base on the Islamic angle, he’s convinced the U. S. is evil and the source of all that’s wrong with the world. I don’t think this guy could possibly take a pass on spending four more years fixing it. He’s a puppet. His puppeteers aren’t going to take a pass on this access.

I think he loses, but I think he’s going to get down and dirty on the way out.

When he and his wife finally leave the WH, I think they should use some of their personal wealth to open a chain of grocery stores throughout the inner city “food deserts” they’ve lamented over.

Let's go to the first issue ~ did he win, or did he simply usurp the process. Here in Virginia we usually have Presidential primaries that pull in a million to a million and a half people. Recalling we have open primaries that means a lot of cross over voting is possible, and it happens. These things shouldn't be allowed, but we used to have a one party system, so primaries meant something else. Romney's wheeler dealers (presumably with his blessing) managed to come up with a new rule 3 days before closing for delivery of the nominating petitions that raised the number of signatures you needed to submit to avoid the validation process. Amazingly that number was just 500 less than the number of signatures Romney claimed to have, but more than what was claimed by the other candidates. All at once instead of our having a popular primary part of the Super Tuesday line up we had two guys ~ Romney and Paul ~ and barely 300,000 people showed up to vote. Romney didn't raise any criticism of this situation, yet, that last minute rule change was certainly tantamount to cheating. Romney showed us how moral he is in the primary. He ain't very! You want to be represented by a low caliber no count cheater, go ahead. I have standards.

What "standard" allows one to take poetic license in such a way as to posit that Romney was the decision maker in what the RNC did abnd to use "proof" such as (presumably with his blessing)?

You consider Romney a liar and then use dishonesty in your attacks - some standards.

My fear is he will cancel the election—because of some crisis. A crisis he will manufacture. Terrorism? Bird Flu? Racial unrest? failing that he has in place a plan to destroy Romney—maybe even assassination? Then again there is voter fraud— the Ballot boxes may well be stuffed now. The Media would support him—and return the House to the Progressives. Once in power he could be given special emergency powers to rule by decree. All Hate Parties, Hate Religions, Hate speech, will be banned. Sarah Palin and Donald Trump will be arrested for Hate Crimes and given stiff sentences in Federal Prison. Many will cheer this outcome. Only Civil War will pry the Progressives from power.

you folks are really getting desperate.

Obviously this issue has come up already in the Romney camp or you wouldn't be out here on Saturday morning attacking me on something that's been under discussion since BEFORE the March primary.

All Romney had to do back then was say "Hey, yeah, changing the rules 3 days before the deadline is not a good idea because it makes me look like I am cheating".

This is a case where Romney's long silence of 5 months simply amplifies the impression that he was heavily involved.

Ask his buddies ~ McDonnell, Bolling and Cantor. They've been in his pocket for a very long time, and it's Bolling who changed the rules.

He doesn’t have to have anything to run on — his supporters only require that “Obama be Obama.” Rememwber how conservatives once wished that his aides would let “Reagan be Reagan.”

>>Because RATs voted for [Romney] in "open primary" states.<<

To no discernible effect, however.

Well he "won" didn't he?

Remember about two weeks in to moving into The White House he and Michelle bolted out of the place to some school? They threw their Secret Service detail for a loop because they just basically ran out the door and “Aunt Esther’’ said “They let us out!’’. I’ll never forget the look on Barkys face. He was thinking “Man, f this sh!t’’. I knew then that he knew this wasn’t Chicago and sleeping till 11am everyday anymore, this was the big time and he wanted no part of it.

Yes I do, but Reagan had plenty to run on both times.

The early primary and caucus states are so sloppily set up, that Democrats can actually participate in the selection of our nominee.

How has that worked out for us? Have you seen the RNC, supposedly the head of the Republican party, do anything about it?

When a ballot initiative appeared on California’s election slate in 2010, or 2011, I forget which, the California Republican leadership didn’t voice a whimper in opposition.

You tell me if the RNC is on the side of Conservatives?

I think not. They are happy to have had the types of candidates we have had. They think Mitt Romney is just swell.

We had the favorites of the RNC out earlier this year on all the talking head shows, praising Romney and trashing anyone else other than him that gained traction.

Face it, the RNC is our enemy. That’s why someone coined the term GOPe.

The system is rigged to continue to give us the most leftist Republicans as our nominee. And for this reason, the Democrats can’t HELP BUT win every election. They know darn well that even if our candidate gets elected, they will still get big government programs out of it, and the illegal alien problem will be kicked down the road for four more years.

I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of it.

Left to its own devices, the RNC runs the most left-wing candidates they think they can get away with (i.e. without driving away their base to start a third party).

The DNC does exactly the same thing.
