Sheeeeze.. I hate search engines.. Ya got me.. :)

Clear proof that Hyperbole, and Hypocrisy are paternal twins..

I've also reconfirmed that the evolution of a flame-war, hasn't changed over the years.. It really further proves that you don't always get wiser as you get older.. Whatever.. LOL

I knew that my well thought-out essay (eyes crossed), would tease the BEAST that lurks not so stealthily beneath the the tissue thin surface of our beloved FR..

SOoooooo, why did I post it?

THERE IS ONLY 3 MONTHS LEFT BEFORE THIS HISTORIC ELECTION!

We desperately need to come to a consensuses.. Shutting off debate hasn't brought about a satisfactory result.. Flame-wars hasn't worked so well either.. DUH!

I'm not looking for agreement, not even stalemate.. We need a plan..

MOST on this site want to bring our Country back from the BRINK.. Some do not.. Some are here to undermine our effort to unseat the Commie regime, currently occupying our White House and most of Congress..

WE NEED A WORKABLE PLAN, to get our first priority accomplished.. Kick Obama, and his comrades, out of our White House, out of our businesses, out of our lives.. If we can't agree on that simple FACT, we are doomed, not only in this election, but probably, forever..

We need to set a common goal to get through this election.. I really am disappointed with how we got to this point in ending up with our current nominee, Mitt Romney.. He wasn't my 1st choice, nor was he my 2nd..

Here is the rub, he may be the only man with a resume, and background to get the job done until we can fix the BIG problem for the next election primary..

I believe the current landscape is promising.. The Tea Party has taught everyone that we are still in control when we actually VOTE.. Manipulated Polls, are meaningless at this time in the election cycle..

Please understand, I do not propose to have the wisdom to assuage the disbelievers,(although, you are free to disagree).. I am asking the proponents, of the situation that I am outlining to describe a plan that accomplishes the PRIORITY GOAL, THIS TIME, UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES!

I don't want to look back on Nov 7th, and think I didn't do my part to change the results..

"Is this true?"

Sure, but the Romney/Mormon haters don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Kent, if you're still living in Seattle, I feel your pain. As a graduate of a great Jesuit University on the east side of the state, I interact with many libs on an alumni website. Most of the posters are from Seattle, so you can imagine the invective that's flown over the past few years. The worst of it, IMHO, has been over Chick Fil A. Those who believe in traditional marriage have been labeled intolerant bigots, and that's putting it mildly.

Several stated they would never spend another dollar at CFA. When challenged, two admitted they had never been to CFA (paraphrased, "if they had one in Wenatchee, I still wouldn't go!" LOL!!!)

There's another who lurks on FR, waiting for me to make an intemperate remark that can be repeated for all on that blog to read, so they can pat themselves on their back for their own "tolerance".

Keep fighting the good fight, FRiend.

You missed the point. It takes a massive conspiracy to murder 50 million innocent American citizens. Everyone in on the conspiracy is guilty. Like hiring a hitman, you don’t have to pull the trigger to be guilty of murder.. There was no conspiracy to legalize the theft from your brother. Your analogy fails.

" there should be record of Romney taking action to try and remove abortion coverage from his plan."

From Wikipedia:
"Romney vetoed an emergency contraception bill in July 2005, claiming that allowing it to pass into law would violate his "moratorium" on changes to the abortion laws.[117] He vetoed a bill on pro-life grounds that the bill would expand access to emergency contraception in hospitals and pharmacies. He returned from his vacation house in New Hampshire to veto the bill, because the Lt. Govorner, Kerry Healey would have signed the bill into law.[118] The legislature voted overwhelmingly to overturn the veto and pass the bill into law on September 15, 2005.[119] At the time of the veto, Romney said he does not support abortion except in cases of rape, incest, and when the life of the mother is threatened.[120] He opposed the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade, criticizing "'one size fits all' judicial pronouncements".[120] The following year, Romney's spokesperson has also indicated that were he the governor of that state, he would sign into law the controversial South Dakota abortion law, but include exceptions for cases of incest or rape, which the South Dakota law excludes.[121]"

In retrospect, dead, it would have been better if I clarified my remarks regarding McCain. McCain's never been strong on economics/fiscal policy, although his policies would not be socialistic like Obama.

He would have approved the Keystone Pipeline, though.

His strong proclivity to "reaching across the aisle" would have resulted in a variety of bad deals on campaign finance reform, among others.

Our VP would have far better than Plugs.

Sure, but the Romney/Mormon haters don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.

So, if we don't like Romney as a candidate because he's taken both sides on virtually every issue, we hate Mormons?

You're falling into the trap set by the Libs.

Romney has yet to crystallize his economic plan into 3 things that he can talk about at each campaign event.

When Romney says, "I've been in the private economy, I know how to create jobs", he's asking everyone to trust him. It would be far better for him to say, "here's HOW we will build an economy that creates millions of jobs."

He continues to come across as a rich guy who's out of touch with mainstream America.

After six years of running for President, you'd think he would have learned that by now.

I agree that John McCain is a big government hump, who leans towards the left side of moderate on too many issues. McCain would have supported many stupid things, like more bailouts and more government programs.

But I took offense to your statement “John McCain likely would have been as bad as Obama” because it is way over the top. His many left-leaning tendencies would never have lead to the sort constitution-stomping, global Marxist, kleptocratic assaults this worst president in human history has brought to this nation.

Some examples of the sorts of things John McCain would not have done as president:

The list could go on and on. McCain’s a boob, not a global Marxist traitor to his nation.

" if we don't like Romney as a candidate because he's taken both sides on virtually every issue, we hate Mormons?"

When you make a statement like "he's taken both sides on virtually every issue" you open yourself to justifiable criticism that you don't have complete understanding of the facts. "Virtually every issue" is a whole lot of issues. It would be easier to discuss things with you if you gave a few documented examples.

There are posts from Romney haters, Mormon haters, and haters who are both Romney and Mormon haters. There are also posts from those who have heartfelt issues with Romney. I try to ignore the haters.

That absolutely needed to be said twice, Carlo!

I agree —Romney’s the only nominee we have-—unless the Second Coming happens before the election, we’re stuck with him and to do other than vote for him is sadly, a vote for obammy.

Carlo, I know you better than this. You didn’t say Romney was better than Obama; there are corpses that could make THAT claim. You said Romney was a “staunch conservative.” THAT he most definitely is NOT.

Vote for Romney is you want to dis-elect Obama (a fine idea, by the way). Just don’t vote for Romney and expect a conservative.

Carlo3b stated: “What are your credentials?? I know who Romney is, and the folks on this site know who I am...”

What an arrogant, snotty, better than you statement! That was his response to another freeper...nothing more than an arrogant “do you know who I am?” statement.

He deserved a kick in the semicolon and I gladly did in the defense of the other freeper.

I don’t give a damn who he is but I will assure you that he has false visions of grandeur that holds him higher than the serfs, proles and lower class of mankind.

“Oh, please. You Mittbots aren’t content with voting for him yourself, you have to browbeat, lecture, and ridicule those of use who won’t.”

“Oh please” yourself, playing your loopy, imaginary victim role. Apparently you need to continue making up boogieman stories to keep yourself fired up. Let me make it simple: I don’t give a damn who you vote for, or if you vote at all.

I am in a quite a position. You and others claim that if I do not vote for Mitt, it counts for Obama. It follows that if I do not vote for Obama, it counts for Romney. My vote then counts for three people!

You need to educate yourself on how elections in this country actually work. I would suggest starting with the 1992 debacle. And bear in mind the eight years caused by 1992 were a walk in the park compared to the four+ years that will result from a repeat in 2012.
