It’s likely Paul Ryan. I guess Romney decided he didn’t want to light our hair on fire. What a boring ticket. I like Ryan, but he won’t be exciting the crowds and getting voters to the polls.

The excitement is that he can talk about numbers and difficult topics in a way that makes sense

It’s so important that the case be made for capitalism in this election. People are being tempted with free cash which requires an enormously strong intellectual argument to be made on the other side. Ryan has been able to articulate the case for less government spending and for free markets about as well as any prominent Republican I’ve seen. Occasionally he gets a little too wonkish, but it’s much easier to coach an informed person to dumb down what they say than it is to coach an ignorant person to sound smarter. Heck of all the Republicans that endorsed Romney, Ryan even made the best case there, not overstating the case or speaking in mere platitudes, but expressing in clear terms some simple, good aspects of Romney that were hard to argue with.

While I think we’re still likely to lose because of the incredibly talentless phony we have on the top of the ticket, Ryan would be one of the best V.P. choices for any Republican presidential candidate.

I tend to agree... hope we're wrong that this pair won't excite the crowds.
