Youths fired buckshot at police in clashes in the French city of Amiens overnight on Tuesday, torching cars and a nursery school in a resurgence of urban unrest that President François Hollande said he would do everything to confront. …

Officials said 16 police officers were hurt in the disturbances, some struck by buckshot others hit by a hail of missiles thrown by around 100 youths who gathered in northern districts of Amiens.

One officer was in a serious condition, the city's Socialist Mayor Gilles Demailly told Reuters. …

Tensions remain high in many French suburbs, where poor job prospects, racial discrimination, a widespread sense of alienation from mainstream society and perceived hostile policing have periodically touched off violence. …

Just the start of riots and unrest in France. There will have Unions and others marching soon. Thats what they get for electing a Socialist. Not going to be a good summer for Paris.

Your Sister-in-Law is correct.

I married one of the "Youths" who parents were Immigrants from a Muslim Country.

You can bet Family Reunions can be awkward, because the Majority of Leena's family (especially her parents) HATE everything Western.

I will let the Irony of them leaving the Middle East to find better prospects in a Western Country, only to have nothing but anathema for the Nation that took them in, speak for itself.

I still don’t get the menatlity of leaving my home to go and live in a place where I hate the host country, reject their values, won’t assimilate, won’t lean THEIR language, insult THEIR citizens, disregard THEIR laws, etc.

Why not just stay HOME where everything is familiar, where I know the language and where I don’t need to assimilate, etc.???

“Economically depressed with little opportunity to escape,...”

Why don’t the French just offer all economically depressed youths a free one way ticket back to the middle east and see how many jump on that offer.

They DO NOT want jobs, non-discrimination or any of the crap they use for sympathy. They simply want subjugation to Islam.

Cheap ‘immigrant’ labor - used to prop up socialism - isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. On the lighter brighter side, the French bought into ‘if it feels good, do it’ and they’re NOT having children. Which means in a hundred years the ‘immigrants’ WILL BE the French. Or living on the land we once called France...
