Sometimes VPs have to take over.
When a woman’s running, Sarah’s been wrong as many times as right. Unfortunately, she’s in a damned-if-you-do/damned-if-you-dont position where female candidates are concerned. And it has hurt her. Once she removes that criterion, that glass-ceiling mentality, her overall record will improve mightily.
So are you voting for Obama?
Um, it was Tina Fey in parody of Palin who made the crack about seeing Russia from her house. Sarah’s comment was that Alaska is within visual range of Russia, and it really is. The entire, uncut interview puts her comment in proper context. Did you know Alaska has one of the few governors who actually gets involved in nuclear missile defense? But if your handler gives away full editorial control to a lefty journalist who wants to make you look bad (and that is what happened here), they could make anyone look bad, even Reagan.
But that's okay. Only Sarah Palin is supposed to get things right every time.
Palin never said that...now you’ve lost all credibility.
And the problem is that we all DO understand it, and we all DO believe it. But read the tag line...
Once again the leftist propaganda bots simply make things up to validate their ideological dogmas rather then report the truth. There was NOTHING "lukewarm" about Ms Palin's response.
Well I see the Benedict Arnold wing of the conservative movement is alive and well
You people are the useful idiots of the Democrat propaganda machine.
Romney: Ryan and I are on the same page with our budgets
>> “It wasn’t the Couric interview, it was the interview with Charlie Gibson.” <<
.
To the informed, (and I suppose only to the informed) she completely ‘pantsed’ Gibson by her refusal to cave to his personal concept of “the Bush Doctrine.” Even David ‘Roddam’ Gergen stated that.
* The Senate will be where the action is
* Either we get 60, or close to it, and have to deal make or ram-rod a new agenda through and undo everything Obiongo did.
* Their are 5 or 6 with Tea Party Leanings in the Senate.
* IF Sarah's efforts are Fruitful, she will Double That.
* The Gelding McConnell will then have to deal with a Tea Party Faction that is 20% of his Caucus.
* They can make or brake Legislation.
IMHO Romney will regret the day he messed w/ her going back to 08', she literally will be at that point, a minister without portfolio, but will pull him to the right whether he likes it or not for 4 to 8 years...
‘It wasn’t the Couric interview, it was the interview with Charlie Gibson. And she didn’t say she could see Russia from her house, she said “... you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska.”’
Thanks for clearing that up. That makes it so much better that she said it in response to a question about her foreign policy credentials while introducing herself to the country. I don’t care for Romney, but you can’t blame him for Palin’s boneheaded quips back in ‘08.
Tonight’s megamillions is “only” $36 million. Tomorrow night’s powerball is the big one. It’s up to $320 million now.
#From the Thursday, September 11, 2008, World News:This interview is a good reminder that the biggest concern during the 2008 primary season was defense and foreign policy. That was the big appeal of John McCain.
CHARLES GIBSON: Let me ask you about specific national security situations. Let's start, because we are near Russia. Let's start with Russia and Georgia. The administration has said, we've got to maintain the territorial integrity of Georgia. Do you believe the United States should try to restore Georgian sovereignty over South Ossetia and Abkhazia?
SARAH PALIN: First off, we're going to continue good relations with Saakashvili there. I was able to speak with him the other day and giving him my commitment, as John McCain's running mate, that we will be committed to Georgia. And we've got to keep an eye on Russia. For Russia to have exerted such pressure in terms of invading a smaller democratic country, unprovoked, is unacceptable. And we have to keep...
GIBSON: You believe unprovoked?
PALIN: I do believe unprovoked. And we have got to keep our eyes on Russia. Under the leadership there.
GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of this state give you?
PALIN: They're our next door neighbors. And you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska.
GIBSON: You in favor of putting Georgia and Ukraine into NATO?
PALIN: Ukraine, definitely, yes. Yes, and Georgia. Putin thinks otherwise. Obviously he thinks otherwise.
GIBSON: And under the NATO treaty, wouldn't we then have to go to war if Russia went into Georgia?
PALIN: Perhaps so. I mean that is the agreement. When you are a NATO ally, is, if another country is attacked, you are going to be expected to be called upon and help.

It wasn't until the Stock Market tanked, after the Palin nomination, that the economy jumped to the front of the line. Where it remains today.
Since Romney is known for his business acumen and Ryan is supposed to be the big economy wonk, don't be surprised if something happens in September/October that brings foreign policy back to the forefront.
Palin needs to disappear and allow Romney/Ryan to move forward without her baggage from 2008.
