Government agencies with armed agents have been buying ammo for years and years, but people just noticed that they are doing so.

True that, but I would not have been concerned if the Reagan administration departments had done this, or the Bush (either), but this bunch of radical, hippie throwbacks, makes me nervous. Nixon, if I'd been old enough to care, may have been concerning.

What’s with all the bullets?

Janet Napolitano tells the Border Guards to run and hide, if they come under attack.

What’s good enough for border guards should be good enough for other government workers. When under attack, RUN AND HIDE.

.357 is an admirable round with wondrous powers. But its use in arms is quite limited.

Maybe it’s just another genius government decision, like ethanol, or buying car companies.

Maybe it is the 357 SIG?

Meanwhile, the war is declared from within on AMerica by Zero’s bunch and the GOP lets them do it, all obedient, maybe some muttering to themselves: “it is not happening, it is not happening”.

Yes it is happening. The electorate does not think a trial is now going to be worth the money and expense... Truth is, Zero is way in over his head in this and foreign powers are going to step in his vacuum of a head, it is too tempting.

Oh, and watch for those “death wish” suicide bombing hating leftist lesbians...

The article says .357 magnum, but the RFQ says .357 SIG.

Here’s a thread from 2008 on a LEO forum about Social Security Agents; there’s a good reason for them to be armed.

http://forums.officer.com/t105979/

“Federal law makes it illegal for anyone with a felony warrant to collect SSI or SSA benefits. Therefore SSA/OIG/OI Special Agents can pursue anyone on any felony warrant who is trying to collect benefits.”

“I worked on a serial killer case with the FBI, gun cases with the ATF, a biker gang case involving motorcycle theft with then-U.S. Customs, domestic terrorism cases, drug cases, local and state crimes, and scads of immigration-related investigations”

“Going out to interview someone in a crack-infested neighborhood, where guys are sitting on the steps at 10:00 AM sipping a 40; or spending an inordinate amount of time in HUD housing projects was an everyday thing.”

Stop making sense.

Way more fun to pitch a fit about black helicopters and all that.

THe picture is that of a S&W model 10 used by the Police in the past, it does not take 357 but 38’s only, I believe.

Perhaps it is no longer a SMALL department, with expanded new “enforcement” roles? Remember, there has not been a budget to describe these line items or expansions. Part of the plan? Police, federal. Everywhere.

It’s a model 19, K frame .357, the adjustable sights are a tip off. The model 10 had fixed sights.

There are other weapon platforms that use the .357 but not many. So it’s a good question...why do they have a need for this ammo?
