Davis said he had hoped Obama's presidency would make a huge dent in race relations, as well as move the Democratic Party further to the center.

He was my congresscritter. Not bad at all for a dem. Pro 2nd amendment and voted against Obamacare. The Alabama Democratic party pulled the rug out from under him during the primary for dem nomination. They got the blacks to support a white guy instead of Davis because Davis had gone off the dem plantation. I would have given him a good look for governor even though I am a staunch republican
