Obama Registration Efforts Flagging (Democrat registration cratering in swing-states)
National Journal ^ | August 16, 2012 | Ben Schreckinger

Posted on 08/17/2012 9:58:42 AM PDT by JerseyanExile

Despite pouring resources into scores of voter-registration events in the last week alone, a Boston Globe analysis found that the Obama campaign has failed to significantly swell the rolls of Democratic voters in battleground states.

In five battleground states the for which the Globe was able to analyze registration data, Democratic registration increased by 39,580 voters, while Republican registration increased by 145,085.

The Obama campaign says that its successful registration efforts in 2008 largely exhausted the pool of unregistered Democrats, while the Republican primaries earlier this year provided a registration opportunity that Democrats were not afforded.

The Globe cited a study released earlier this week by Third Way, a left-leaning think tank, that showed Democratic registration down 800,000 people in eight battleground states and Republican registration down by 80,000 in those same states. Independent registration, on the other hand, has grown by nearly half a million voters in those states.

Obama’s support was MAXED last time.

Maxed out because of the inherent promise that everything in life would be free. Seriously, this was the underlying mindset of the 0bama voter.

Have you heard of anybody that falls into that category? There must be somebody — but I’d bet the quantity of newly-converted Obama voters is statistically ZERO.

There will be some liberals that just achieved voting age, I guess. But, at least a few washed up hippies must’ve died off over the last for years. Hopefully a roughly equivalent number ... heh.

He's slid from a career high rate of 97 at ACU to 85 for 2011

So we should abandon Ryan?

For Obama's second term?

Dude, check yourself!

...you do realize that the choice isn't Romney or McCain, right?

No, I'm supposed to believe it's "Leftist A" or "Leftist B." I won't let anyone tell me that I only have two socialists as my choices. There are others. I refuse to enable liberalism.

So much for that “DEMOGRAPHIC TIDAL WAVE” that’s going to help Obama in swing states... what a damned JOke that crap was.

This election is going to be a ROUTE up and down the ticket, 2010 was nothing, 1994 is going to look like a good day for dems when compared to how Nov 2012 is shaping up.

Fight like its close, but the idea this fool is re-electable is nonsense.

Obama is going to lose by 10+ points, he can’t steal it.. this isn’t going to be a squeaker.

FIGHT LIKE IT IS, but don’t buy into the crap, this isn’t going to be close.

No, and I seriously hope you are correct in your assumptions which I have no reason to doubt!

...we’d all be better off with him as Vice President come January.

The Conservative Movement would benefit tremendously.

Romney's image is that of a squish.

With Ryan off his right shoulder, with the Tea Party behind him, he will have to lean in that direction, else he risks losing re-election.

If Romney knows nothing else, he knows which way the wind blows.

There are others.

Others? Really? Ex-Dem Virgie? Huff-n-puff?
Other choices like when the bag boy asks 'Paper or plastic' you respond, 'I think I'll just stuff everything in my pockets.' Or when the server says, 'Cash, check or credit?' You opt for washing dishes. I mean, sure, you can choose that. But it's a complete waste of time and it looks pretty foolish. But, hey, fiat cash is a conspiracy, checks are partnering with those evil banks and credit cards are usury (and notice they all begin with 'C', just like 'conspiracy'.). So, don't give in to the man! Wash those dishes.

Look at the trendline for Ryan. - 15% here, and -15% there and next thing you know you’ve got an Obama with a 17. So, let’s do the math. By 2020 he’s right down there ~ and ready to move in after Romney and do the same stuff!,P>That’s not good at all.

So, eventually Ryan will transform himself into Obama.

Yeah.

Right.

Gotcha.

Good luck with that.

So why did he drop to 85%?

This is the first sign that a regular Conservative is turning into a RINO ~ the ACU rating takes a big drop.

This guy's got a couple more drops and he's in McCain territory.

So, come on now Palmetto Patriot, tell us why it's good for someone's ACU rating to drop like a rock!

I am sure you can do it!

The Democrats argue that they pretty much exhausted the storehouse of unregistered Democrats in 2008 so there's just no one to register.

Could be ~ it was an historic event ~ America's third or fourth black or partly black President ~ so they all lined up to get registered.

Then they had ACORN and they made up for any laggards who didn't get to the DMV.

In the end Obama got 10 million more votes than the Republican, and that ain't jus' some stuff eh.

It's really rare to find a 10 million vote difference.

That means the Democrats biggest problem is getting people to the polls, or to vote absentee.

We have that problem too ~ in spades!

Let's cut to the chase.

By the time you go to bed tonight, Ryan will be in Stalin territory.

By my standards he’s gone wobbly. Guy just isn’t Conservative enough to be of much interest. He could have been but he’s been compromised.

Or you can opt to wipe your poopy @$$ with your bare left hand or your bare right hand. It’s really kind of silly to do anything else, except maybe to actually use toilet paper.
