SACRAMENTO — California’s Department of Motor Vehicles will start issuing driver’s licenses to those here illegally who qualify for President Obama’s two-year stay of deportation, potentially reigniting political battles in the state Capitol over undocumented immigrants.
“We’re not changing the law. We’re not bending the rules,” said Armando Botello, a DMV spokesman.
Botello said state law allows DMV to grant driver’s licenses to those who have what’s called an “employment authorization document.”
“It’s one of the documents accepted for years as proof of legal presence. We will accept that,” Botello said.
Botello said DMV did not consider the political controversy in making the decision.
“Our people who specialize in this — they looked at the rules. They consulted with our legal office and they made the decision,” he said.

LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska will continue to deny driver’s licenses to young illegal immigrants who are now eligible for U.S. work permits under a new Obama administration policy, Gov. Dave Heineman said Friday.
The Republican governor said the state will not issue licenses, welfare benefits or any other public assistance to the immigrants unless otherwise required by Nebraska law.
This means more illegals for Calif.. Good Luck to them..
The employees at the California DMV offices are all union members, probably SEIU. You can bet that these non citizens will be registered to vote as permanent vote by mail voters. The California voter registration form has two address fields on it. One is for where you live. The other is for where do you want your ballot mailed to, which means the SEIU will be filling out those ballots for years to come.
I’m sure they made the decision about insurance also.....right? These people are fools.
This was done by Obama so the illegals could meet requirements of the “Voter ID Law”.

Which just brought to mind..Suggest all California auto insurance doubled, because now ,if you are legal, you need to pay insurance for 2. Companies will have to base their rates on numbers of insured drivers, and accident risks.
I counted 13 busses in the parking lot and estimated 250 in line, the voters returned to the line to vote several times a day, this went on daily for weeks

friend of mine up in NH states that every election day there are coaches and bussloads of people coming from MA, infact he said everone knows but no one does a damn thing.

And according th Clinton’s Motor-Voter law they have to be given a voter registration at the same time giving them the most valued of citizens rights the right to vote.
