a little about him:
Bauer describes himself as pro-life. He is in support of repealing laws that allow abortion. He advocates for the Supreme Court’s overturn of Roe v. Wade as the first step in the pro-life cause.[7] He wants to cut funding for Planned Parenthood and do away with any U.S. aid for organizations that provide or advise abortions. Bauer also says that he would counsel raped family members against abortion.[8] He points to the Constitution and the Christian view of human life as reasons for not supporting euthanasia, stating that, “all people have immeasurable value because they have been created in the image and likeness of God.” He is a supporter of the death penalty for death row inmates.[9] Bauer opposes cloning and embryonic stem cell research, but supports adult stem cell research. He supports a Constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage, and prefers abstinence programs to comprehensive sex education programs. Bauer wants to remove from the tax code all economic disincentives to marry.[9]
On foreign policy issues, Bauer supports strong ties with Israel, would not trade with China until the country improves its human rights record, and supported full funding for the Iraq War. Bauer believes that America should advance and protect freedom worldwide and “bring the message of freedom to the Arab world”.[8]
Bauer supports enforcing all laws against illegal immigration and that all immigrants should learn English and U.S. traditions.[8]
On economic issues, Bauer supports income tax cuts and decreased regulation of small businesses. He has stated that corporations should serve the U.S. as well as their shareholders, and has occasionally been critical of the World Trade Organization.
So if Bauer is backing Romney can you really blame anyone else for backing him?

The restatement is that pride in principle always comes in first. The pride trumps reason to the point it can not be transcended without total loss of face.
The inability to overcome pride in belief transcends the threat, the major genuine threat to being conservative and of America that is Obama.

Let me make a prediction. After Romney is rejected in November, we will have another election in 2016 and that, too, will be the most important election in your lifetime. Let's hope that you can find a suitable and worthy candidate to vote for in 2016.
Tau my FRiend, I have no doubt that you are a patriot, however I cannot in good conscience gamble the future of my Nation upon your prediction, no matter how sure you may be about it.
Here is my prediction: if 0bama is re-elected, have your bags packed to either head for the hills as the 0bamunist shock troops begin ‘stage 2’ without any fear of restraint or inhibition, OR if you are unlucky, you may be allowed to take some of those bags with you as you board the FEMA trains or buses for your new home in a federal internment camp for ‘security risks’.

Your writing here is verbatim how I feel about the whole situation. Let me add this. I am looking at this election as if the very survival of the United States is at stake, because in all likelihood, it is. If Obama is elected, the only thing that might save us is a civil war, or at the very least, the majority of American states refuse to recognize Obama as POTUS, and blow him off. Obama intends to destroy our entire economy, and save for a few question marks, I know how he intends to do it. No Boehner, or McConnell flunky will stop him, as they have already proven that they are cowards.
Obama intends to destroy our military. ( I had breakfast with a high ranking Air Force friend yesterday, and he not only believes Obama will destroy our military, he said it has been profoundly damaged already).
Look, I am a right wing conservative, and proud of it. I did not vote for W the second time, and I did not vote for scumbag, traitorous McCain either. This time, (very) sad to say, I don’t have that luxury. I could post here for an hour about all the damage Obama has already done,(and intends to do in the future) and I would barely scratch the surface. In summary, with Romney, we have a chance to survive. With Obama, we have NO chance, save for some form of civil war.
i have been told by that cadre not to vote based on fear. I’m not cowering, i am looking at two crystal clear options and choosing the MOST PRAGMATIC of the two with a view to saving our nation from destruction. One has to assume from their posture that they welcome the destruction and look forward to a rebuilding. Sorry, i cannot sit by and vote for that destruction. My kids are 18, 20 and 23. THEY will not sit and vote for that destruction either.
