PRINCETON, NJ -- A majority of voters in key 2012 election swing states say they are not better off than they were four years ago; 40% say they are better off. Swing-state voters' assessments of their situation compared with 2008 have varied little since last fall.

Hey Ba-arry
Goodbye!
follow the money/map of Repub/Dem donations by state.
I don’t pay a lot of attention to polls, but this one really stuck out. Ever since Ronald Reagan and his campaign famously asked this question, the answer has been a bellwether.
Stay focused AND on message my FRiends! Election day is less than three months away.
Here is an idea for a commercial:
screen up shows a person getting the nozzle from the gas pump and turning it on.
The gas starts flowing into the tank, and all you see on the screen is the gallons and the price. As the dollar amount increase, the gallon quantity barely moves.
The sound is ring, ring, ring as the dollars increase.
Towards the end on the commercial, the dollar quantity is close to $100, and the gallons are around 10.
Then the voice over asks the infamous question:
“are you really better off now?”
Anyone but Obama 2012
My household income is now $35K LESS per year than it was in 2008. And that figure has not even beed adjusted for inflation.
Yet ANOTHER great commercial from FR folk!
Me too. Its been a complete fiasco trying to keep everything together in this economy.
FUBO!!!!!
Gallup still trying to support The Disaster. Note “Registered Voters” not Likely Voters were polled. Add 5 percent to the forces of Good with the L.V. polled.
Very interesting map. The donations are about even in NY, Il, CA, MA, who would have figured that?
If this map is translated into electoral votes The Disaster is about to see the worst beating since Mondale.
Have Chu handing out money to a character who looks like a Chicago aldermen/pol who is laughing his butt off.
They’re no better off, but they’re going to vote for him anyway.
Welcome to Obamaland....
“The Disaster is about to see the worst beating since Mondale.”
How I pray you are right! But we have to beat Obama AND the media AND the unions AND the voter fraud... it’s still an uphill climb so don’t let your guard down. And why in God’s name is Romney having a debate with CNN/NBC/ABC/PBS as moderators... and no Fox? Is he crazy???
Romney can handle any of the Treason media’s stupid questions so that does not worry me.
Basically the only way The Disaster can win is through single women voters. He loses every state’s male and married female voters. INCLUDING Illinois.
Well unless these people are convinced to come out in droves as Indies, Reagan Dems, TEAS, Libertarians, the GOP will not benefit. How the turn out on the ground is used by the GOP will explain whether America wants 4 more years of fiscal disaster and foreign policy losses.
The sorts of questions Gallop should be asking, "Can you ever retire and maintain your current life style?"..
and has anyone noticed how what used to be in 20/18/16 oz. packages at wal-mart and your grocer is packaged in 4 or 5 ounces less and for the same price?
