RE :” I should have said we have no chance of avoiding a civil war if Obama is elected, and I stand firm on this conviction.Obama would either deliberately start it, or would become such a dictator, that he caused it to happen.

A more conservative prediction would be that Republicans take over the Senate and more seats in the House in the 2014 midterm as a backlash. However the stupid party can blow that opportunity too.

RE” I wonder how many American “patriots” “conservatives” would fight to the death for their country. We may find out, and if so, it will be UGLY.

Given that Republicans most valued base voters are those on medicare and SS (and those with 10 years of getting it) and Republicans promised to protect them from cuts with every last dime of future generations money, I would say that they will not support a civil war. A war would threaten their gravy train.
Probably the same with all those Dems who Obama is giving $$$ to.

Do I sound cynical?? :)

Do I sound cynical?

Well SoL, perhaps a little, I would say more skeptical than cynical because I happen to think that if an actual revolution were triggered by some event or events tomorrow morning in which the 0bamunist regime suddenly launched armed hostilities against the American people that you would be among the first to take up arms, as would I think, the majority of us.

This top down federalist charade has reached the breaking point, the bureaucratic leviathan is unable to support itself and that is why it seeks to expand it's control, it's reach, and it's grasp around our necks, and around our wallets. This creeping tyranny is quite seriously the truest manifestation of a 'bipartisan' approach that we've ever seen, unfortunately to the detriment of our Republic.

We all know (or should know) Thomas Jefferson's words "When the people fear their government, there is tyranny, when the government fears the people, there is liberty." he was right then, and he's right today.

There is one and only one chance to put the brakes on this insidious erosion and destruction of our civil rights and liberties guaranteed under the Constitution, and that is to vote OUT that Kenyan bastard on November 6th. Mitt Romney may or may not prove to be the solution, but at the minimum we buy ourselves some time, at the most we end this federal dictatorship NOW, this year, in 2012.

Of course the media is biased.

Most people in journalism are probably ok with abortion or even partial-birth infanticide as a woman’s choice.

Anyone who can rationalize that will certainly despise the group (conservatives) who holds that as morally repugnant.

Of course, then, there will be a double standard.

But in politics, it’s possible to be true to your morality and advance moral causes without making a joke out of your entire movement like Akin is doing.

They WILL blow it, as long as the drunk(Boehner), and the fossil(McConnell), remain in power. Count on it.

” I would say that they will not support a civil war.”

The Republicans in D. C. support a civil war? Hell no. The citizens and individual states would though. Arizona has all but ceseded from the Obama Dictatorship already.

” Do I sound cynical?? :) “

No, you are a realist. But I don’t think you and many others fully grasp just how evil Obama is, and how much damage he has caused, and how horrible it will be for us, if he gets back in. I believe many have become inured to the evil, because there has been so much of it.....often every day. Obama is a sociopath/psychopath.

The media covers up Bill Clinton’s history of rape and sexual harassment. The media covers up Planned Parenthood’s history of botched abortions and protection of child rapists.

At a point it isn’t “because they support a woman’s right to choose”. They protect EVIL and need to be called on it.

They are NOT against rape. They are NOT for women. Not when they call Sarah Palin a “c*nt” and a “b*tch” and use a song with “lyin’ a** b*tch” in the title to introduce Michele Bachmann.

They lie like Stalinists. There is no playing that game. Expose them as vile haters and hypocrites.

The news/entertainment establishment must crumble before media will be an honest day’s work (again, if ever).

well SJB, i must fully disagree there Sir...

as a realist, i fully understand the evil that bambam, as well as every other lifelong political power player is capable of doing, and VERY WILLING to see come to pass, in order to further insulate their nests...

my other reality is that the mittens is no better than bambam, simply because the status quo is not going to be corrected by replacing one progressive statist with another...yeah i know, 'but he not AS bad'...BigFDeal as the train left the station at least a generation ago, and is still gaining speed...

even the micro gains in the CONgress in 2010 by *true blue tea party conservatives* turned out to be merely more of the same ole same, with the vast majority of those landing in DC and going with the flow, for whatever reason...

at this point, im as cynical, and pessimistic about the SOTU as Ive ever been, and thats saying a LOT...

SJB, you continually state that the rin-o-p is useless, and no different at the core, than the dems...i agree and believe that theyre two opposite wings of the same pre-historic, flightless bird known as the tyranny-o-saurous...and its hungry...why would i believe an establishement type, two-faced politician, with the personality of a used car salesman, who has the progressive record a mile long, will even begin to slow the bleeding, much less change the direction ???

sure, he MAY slow the bleeding, hell he may even reign whilst we have a bump in the economy and suck another dying breath, but more likely than not, he'll simply make a sh!tload of money for himself and his buddies, on both sides of the aisle, and we'll be satisfied with another american idol on another plasma screen...for another minute anyway, as a nation

OR, we can quit worrying about the 'what ifs' on the horizon and accept the fact that the beast needs to eat ??? the aforementioned pre-historic critter isnt going away hungry...it will be fed or bled...

if/when the ballon goes up, and i indeed must die to protect my children, I am NOT going to look God in the eye and try to rationalize voting *for* mittens and the perpetuation of the moral decay of my times...

instead I can vote my principles today and stand firm on em...barring any unforseen changes in the landscape, and since we are in essence going to vote for our choice of king this time around, I'll be penciling in The Lord Jesus as my one and only King...

Then what? 48.1% of the country love it when the Lamestream media whacks conservatives unfairly.

They're already "exposed." It's totally obvious.

Either we "play the game" or we let them rule.

We have to beat them at this game because over 50 years, we let them take control of all the game pieces.

Maybe..just MAYBE...these idiots need to be wary of whenever there’s a microphone near them...and when the question is asked, just use Obama’s answer “That’s above my Pay grade”.

From now on, that’s should be the answer - the same one Obama used - “That’s above my pay grade”.

IMO, if Obama gets elected again, he may be the least of our worries. He’ll Neville Chamberlain us into WWIII, and walk away having accomplished his goal.

I want to caution folks. I understand that Conservatives own guns. We live in a changed world today. The same weapons used against terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan would be used against us in the U. S.

We have no prayer whatsoever of prevailing. We would be demonized, and much of the public would think the government was taking the only actions it could take, because armed Conservatives were so evil, destructive, and vile.

How are you going to prevail against predators that can spot you and eliminate you from five miles away?

Folks, there were a lot of people in the South, that thought a civil war against the North was a great idea.

Lets face it, God will have to sort this out. Unless you have a death wish, and want to see your family pay heavily for your failed actions, I caution you to use sound judgement.

Those words are close enough for me.

Stephenjohnbanker, I’m not trying to pile on here, but I too am unable to vote for Romney. You know that.

Do what you have to do. Just let me know so I can give you hell for it when the wheels fall of the Conservative chuck-wagon under these two city slickers running the cattle drive.

D1, I understand and respect your views. The prospect of a domestic war between American citizens and a pack of despots in Washington is a sobering thought to put it mildly. (The following comments are intended ONLY for hypothetical discussion and are not intended to advocate the violent overthrow of the government.)

I cannot agree however that such a conflict would end up in failure for re-establishing the freedoms and liberties that are even now being extinguished by the 0bamunists and their minions. It has been posted many times that in our first Revolutionary War, that only approximately 30 percent of the population chose to fight and oppose the British, but that was enough for victory.

In a future hypothetical war against Washington, the new American Revolutionaries would have advantages that our ancestors did not, in the areas of military experience, familiarity with the military tactics likely to be employed by the dictatorship, knowledge of the location of supplies, guns, ammunition, munitions, etc., and a most important factor is that unlike our ancestors, who had very few if any substantial numbers of British troops defecting to our side, let alone fighting WITH us, a new revolutionary conflict could almost depend on substantial numbers of defections from federal-regime forces, from the simple act of throwing down their weapons, doffing their uniforms and saying "to hell with this, I'm not shooting my fellow Americans", to GIVING us their weapons stealing MORE from their former federal employers, and fighting alongside us. We would not be only a rag tag, disorganized army of irregulars, we would have the benefit of the support of veteran military officers and enlisted men who would choose the cause of freedom, as opposed to the cause of continued federal tyranny.

I point out also, that how the public would view the new revolutionaries would be largely shaped by what was broadcast to them, and I'm here to tell you that TV and radio facilities, especially if they were being utilized for the benefit of a tyrannical regime, would probably be considered fair targets, and subsequently put out of commission. In that same vein, the public may be electronically tied to the Internet, but you can be sure that revolutionary forces will be capable of resorting to short wave, morse code, and NON-digital means of remaining in communication with their fellow citizen-soldiers.

Now to take this a step further, while I highly doubt that a second American Revolution would escalate to the point of using tactical nuclear weapons (unless it was by the 0bamunists), there is also the prospect that qualified military pilots might elect to join the rebellion, to the point of bringing their aircraft with them, perhaps even using their own munitions (air to ground missiles, gravity bombs, etc.) on federal forces.

There are simply too many variables, too many possible scenarios that play out to the advantage of the new hypothetical revolutionaries to automatically write off their prospects for victory.

It would be nightmarish, it would be bloody, it would be ugly with a capital 'UGH', but at this point our Revolutionary ancestors would already be at war, based upon the violations of our freedoms by a vile tyranny fast becoming the American equivalent of an old Soviet-style regime.
