Shooting outside Empire State Building

There are reports of multiple people shot outside the Empire State Building.

FOX 5 News has learned that at least three people have been shot.

The scene is chaotic as people make their way to work in the heavily trafficked area.

One person is in police custody.

FOX 5 News and SkyFoxHD are headed to the scene.

MSNBC interviewing witness. witness says shooter wore tan pants, NBC reporter responds, “are you certain he wasn't wearing military or army pants.” witness says no, tan.

This is a journalist in 2012.

Even 20 short years ago it would have been: What, if anything did he say? Where were you when it happened? What did he look like? What did you see/hear?

In 2012 to hell with covering what took place- we want to show this guy was a right-winger..and you, witness, are not cooperating.

In the NE those pants are referred to as "Khaki" pants..if they had used that word they could have subliminally built a intended visual to their viewers..

DID anyone hear the witness on FOX just say that she was walking and someone fell at her feet but she did not know he was shot so she carried on walking.

HUH, What if there was no shooting and the guy had an heart attack what the hell is wrong with some people that they see someone drop but they just carry on walking and ignore it

Eeerily, just minutes before the mayhem, Mayor Bloomberg was warning about the dangers of “too many guns on the streets” on his weekly radio show.
“The argument guns don’t kill people, people kill people is one of the most disingenuous things you can say,” he said shortrly before 9 a.m. while discussing tougher guns laws being proposed in Albany.
“It does take a person to pull the trigger, but if they didn’t have the gun... We are the only developed country in the world with this problem.”

In your link we see a photo of a white woman on the ground trying to help a black woman who’s been injured- it strikes me this is more of an ordinary picture of America (I don’t mean the violence) - someone hurt and someone else trying to help- REGARDLESS of either one’s skin color. I know it’s a small thing- but it goes against the grain of popular racist thinking in a stark way.
