You have a point and if you want to get really into the weeds there is a UK pub supporting what he said. Problem is his numbers are so low and the mo is all with the dems right now that a new candidate is probably the way to go if your intention is solely to win the seat without harming the top of the ticket as well.I didn’t say it would be pretty but rather pragmatic.

Exactly, you can hear the hatred for Repubs in her voice. Her questions were pathetic and will be in the debate.

Have they declared Obozo the winner of the debates yet?

Where did you see that?

Face the Nation on See-BS. Maybe you can still catch it, or as an online video.

Oh no no....we had a private insurance plan and they didn’t pay anywhere near that much.

Still, they charged $260,000.

Don’t know what the insurance paid and it sounds like $400 was a fair cost for your wife. But they charged $7000?

Something really wrong with this system.

Even without MO the GOP is going to take 4-8 Senate seats.

The GOP will take NE, ND, MT and WI, they will hold IN and MA but lose ME (Rino seat so no real loss). It is looking real good to pick up OH, VA, FLA and CT as well

Pretty pathetic how easy the entire GOP/Conservative movement is suckered off message by the Democrat propaganda machines tactics of diversion and distraction

THIS WEEK (ABC)- Roundtable (my comment) (some of this is paraphrased for expediency)

Rep Donna Edwards(Maryland)- (war on women narrative is pathetic, the Democrats would have you believe Republicans are going to turn the Army on them. This another missed opportunity to ask a Democrat if they think a normal healthy pregnancy should end in abortion?)

Edwards- On Medicare, Republicans are just not telling the truth(is that like the obamacare act tax/penalty explanation?), Republican Medicare is like Providing green stamps for Medicare

Edwards- college student loan rates (no lady, I have student loan debt too, debt is debt no matter what you owe. My rate is below 3%, and I quit taken loans years ago after my 2 year degree and am working my way through college now)

Van Sustren- thinks they are being condescending when they say Obama just didn’t have the experience to improve the economy(No Greta, they are just being polite) On Medicare;

Van Sustren- Paul Ryan at least has a plan to save medicare

Van Sustren- Obama doesn’t show a production record by Stimulus bill results(actually, it’s been an avoidable spending disaster, that’s why I say they are just being polite)

Granholm- Obama extended medicare by 8 years(by taking the funding? how many more years would have medicare had if $700 billion wouldn’t have went to the fund the Affordable care act?)

Granholm- Stimulus had tax cuts people didn’t see(them were tax credits, not cuts, and we told you years ago it wasn’t going to work, Ms Granholm, you just didn’t listen)

Granholm- can’t use you college id to vote(bet you can’t use it to buy liquor too, can you fix that, Ms Granholm?)

Granholm- Republicans are trying to carve out the people you think are going to vote for the other side(like the dead? illegals? ACORN?)

Unknown(couldn’t keep up with typing this, think it was Stephonopolis)- Ryan is Mit Romneys chief character witness(let’s see them bring this up for Biden/Obama)

Will- cutting Medicare funding ‘Arithmetic will do that’ (Paul Ryan is capable of the medicare math, why aren’t Democrats?)

That is not my poll, it is a Mason-Dixon poll. I really think we react too much to these early polls. It is only after Labor Day and the conventions that the people start to focus on the race.

Romney and his SuperPACs will be hitting Obama hard in MO with ads, appearances, etc. The voters will have a real choice this time.

Strategically, IMO Romney should have stayed out of the Akin affair except to disassociate himself from Akin's comments and note his apology. He should have stayed out of the fight (at least publicly) calling for Akin to withdraw. He should leave that up to Akin and the Missouri GOP to work that out.

Actually, under Obama/Democrats, the Bush tax cuts for the middle class expire after a 1 year extension.

And that’s the model Democrat Economist use to say Republicans will increase taxes (but don’t ask Mayor of LA, Antonio V. to reveal his sources or their assumptions)

Medical Tourism!
Canadians have a choice between suffering in a medical care lineup, or going out of Country and paying out of pocket to obtain medical care.
Canadians go to the US or, for less costly treatment, Costa Rica and India.

You may want to consider Medical Tourism for some types of medical procedures

He doesn't have to win the women vote. All he needs is to come close, say within 3-5 points which I think he can easily do starting with the Convention when his beautiful wife and family are front and center.

Romney has a story to tell and a long history lacking any scandal and this presents a real problem for the likes of Axelrod, whose winning methods always revolve around outing and promoting scandalous behavior in opponents.

I don't believe the polls showing him trailing Obama among women by 25-30 points because I have seen others, among likely voters in which he trails by a mere 3-4 points.

Just so I am thinking right, our side has a senate candidate who misspoke

Yes, the only way Mr. Akin can redeem himself is to change his name to either Bill Clinton or Ted Kennedy. Either way he has to be become a Democrat.

Pragmatic perhaps. The people who voted for Akin in the primary (217,000) might not be all that happy nor the 700,000 who participated in the primaries if a small group of GOP establishment types picked the nominee. Steelman came in third. The Establishment prefers Brunner who is the least conservative.

But what happens if Akin stays true to his vow that he is staying in the race until the end? Ultimately, it is up to Akin and no one else. The GOP handled this very badly by publicly humiliating this guy less than 24 hours after making a verbal gaffe and an apology/explanation, which I guess is not acceptable.

What some people may not be aware of, but the liberals and McCaskill are, is that Ryan was probably the real target of this gotcha journalism.

Some liberals tried to tie other Republicans to Akin's comments, noting that Romney's running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan, co-sponsored an abortion-related bill with Akin that would have limited federal funding for abortions to victims of forcible rape," rather than just rape. The FBI's definition of rape is known as "forcible rape," and it is used to distinguish between statutory rape and other kinds of rape.

Huckabee asked Akin whether he was talking about "forcible rape" when he used the term "legitimate rape."

"I was talking about forcible rape, and it was absolutely the wrong word," Akin said.

Akin said he understands that women can become pregnant from rape. "I didn't mean to imply that wasn't the case," he said. "That does happen."

While Akin acknowledged he made a "very, very serious error," he added that he's not dropping out of the Senate race.

Everytime the Dems and MSM stampede the Reps into shooting one of its own, it just increases the blood lust for more. Every Rep running for office in November will have to walk on eggshells for fear of making one verbal gaffe, especially if can be tied to women, race, gays, or ethnicity. It could result in a similar hysteria and more GOP circular firing squads. Self-censorship is the worst censorship of all.

Sandra Fluke is speaking at the DNC convention. Look for her to invoke Rush Limbaugh's name despite his apology and no doubt Akin and Ryan will have their names mentioned as part of the War on Women. "I don't know that I'm the only person in public office who suffered from foot-in-mouth disease," he said. "I feel just as strongly as ever that my background and ability will be a big asset in replacing Claire McCaskill... Just because someone makes a mistake doesn't make them useless."

Wow I had no idea they were after Paul Ryan! Trouble is with the dems seems we are always tasked with defending ourselves from their lies or half truths.Tough to do.

I really don’t see what the big deal about Rubio is. He just fell into Bob’s birther trap, and gave the standard RINO response.

Everybody gets billed at full, or standard, rate. What everybody pays is based on agreements between the health care provider and the insurance carrier. And what is allowed to be billed is built into the contract as well.

And the reason for all of this is Medicare and government involvement/regulation/interference in the medical business. Then mix in state regulations based on local good intentions, eligibility rules, and it's a real melting pot.
