Paul Ryan's Black ex-girlfriend bad for GOP, 2012 elections? (barf)
Examiner ^ | Aug 22, 2012 | Bruce Baker

Rep. Paul Ryan's ex-girlfriend -- who happens to be black -- is the focus of a debate on whether race matters in the 2012 elections for the GOP. Who knew African American girlfriends from the past would become an issue of debate to measure Mitt Romney's running-mate's electability?

Monday, Keli Goff, the political correspondent for TheRoot.com, published a story that has ignited a discussion about race in America and if it is fair game during an election year. The post is titled, "What We Know About Paul Ryan and Blacks."

-snip-

"For the record: No, I am not calling Ryan a racist. I am saying, however, that if you want to know where a politician's heart lies when it comes to a particular community, it may be best to look at that person's policies -- such as his or her record on civil rights -- rather than personal relationships," Goff qualifies her argument about Congressman Paul Ryan's ex-girlfriend.

However, a writer with the New York Daily News scoffed at the idea that The Root's writer would suggest that race has anything to do with the GOP candidate's political practices. Whether the talk is about African Americans, Latinos or any other ethnic group, he believes its a non-issue.

Derek Hunter offered this rebuttal:

"In this incredibly dumb piece, Goff asks the all-important (to no one) question, '"Is the fact that Ryan has dated interracially a noteworthy detail to consider when analyzing his politics and policies?

"The simple answer is 'no.' But to race-obsessed liberals the simple answer has no place in politics."

"Black actors/singers like Jill Scott and Common have publicly stated they are against inter-racial relationships."

Of course, I am too old to worry much about it but I believe that absolutely everyone should be concerned about racial inter-marriage.

If I were a leader of some national group I would convince leaders of all racial groups to form some sort of commission to evaluate inter-marriage to make determinations as to the positives and negatives.

Why?

In a couple of hundred years everyone will look alike. That's really going to suck.

I say, "Viva la diference!"

Aw,,,, sh!t! I used to go with an Afram girl. Stunningly beautiful. Light skin, red hair, and freckles. A figure that most women would kill for. Our first “date?” She just wanted me to hold her. Sickle cell anemia. We didn’t work out, but I pray for her often. Anemia cases don’t usually make out for a long life.

Yes, let’s make an issue of it. It helps demonstrate how ridiculous racial charges against us really are. Much like Paul’s mom at the villages does to their Mediscare tactics.

Check...and mate !

I'm not calling Keli Goff...

An idiot. He's free to publicly take an IQ test and remove all doubt.

If Ryan and Romney were both black, the Dems would still make "race" an issue in this campaign. Everyone knew that after Obama was elected, race would be magnified more than ever.

The Dems analyze every Republican word and actions with electron microscopes hoping to prove racism is at the core of conservative policies. For instance, Romney is accused of racism because he said one group of people, Israelis, have a tremendous culture of success. Thereby implicating non-Israeli neighbors as losers. Which they are. And it's "racist" even though both the Israelis and their Arab neighbors are semitic aryans. They have to use race as a proxy, because basically they have no counter to conservative principles and ideas.

All I wanna know about her is whether or not she was hot .

If she faintly favored one Mia Love she was. Could it be? You have to think she wasn't homely.

Just because race matters tremendously to the libs, it does not have to matter to the Conservatives. We MUST write our own rules and not be rebounding every step of the way.

I do not care about the color of anyone’s skin; the Liberals and the Flying Monkeys Media (See Wizard of Oz for reference) are racists for thinking that I should care.

Would you listen to what the "leaders" of your racial group or the commission they formed had to say about who you should marry? Yeah, neither would anyone else.
