You gotta remember Juan drives a crash mobile 24/7. Every time he starts it up he guns the engine crashes into the wall,gets out pushes it away, gets back in and drives into the wall again. After a while I guess his brains get scrambled.

I hope he doesn’t embarrass Kentucky. He’s got a pretty good pr sense. More than his father. They may think a lot alike, but he can control the crazy better. It slips out on occasion, but it’s rare.

C-SPAN did a great job covering the convention live, all day yesterday, into the night, and without commentary, commercials, etc.

We kept switching from Fox News back to C-SPAN constantly last night. Until the last two speeches (Ann Romney's and Chris Christie's), FNC missed a lot of good stuff, instead filling up air time with blathering by Bill O'Reilly, updates on Isaac and commercials. We wanted to watch the convention events as if we were there in person. C-SPAN was fantastic.

I hear you my friend. I hear you. I stay off the threads mostly, but this is usually a fun week. I enjoy being a Republican woman married to a Republican man. We are doing well and I just landed a 40 hour a week job. So......... I am screwing around today! :)

My husband chided me for helping Obama's numbers, but I was not on unemployment, so I guess it's OK.

hello all... Did you see all of the Speeches yesterday?? I had my TV on C-SPAN, and the speakers were great!! (Artur Davis was great, too!)

C-SPAN did the very best job in covering the convention, from A to Z, all day and all night. It's like we were there in person!

I am thrilled to add Utah's voice … in support for Mitt Romney.

Let me tell you about the America I know.

My parents immigrated to this country with ten dollars in their pocket,
and the hope … that the America that they had heard about … really did exist.
When tough times came, they didn’t look to Washington, they looked within.

So the America I grew up knowing ... was centered in self reliance,
and filled with the possibilities of living the American dream.

The America I know is grounded in the determination found in patriots and pioneers,
in small businesses with big ideals.
It's found in the farmers who work in the beauty of our landscape, and our heroic military.
It's found in the Olympic Athletes
and every child who looks at the seemingly impossible and says, “I can do that.”
That is the America I know!

President Obama’s version of America is a divided one --
often pitting us against each other bases on our income level, gender, and social status.
His policies have failed us!
We're NOT better off than we were 4 years ago,
and NO rhetoric, bumper sticker, or Hollywood campaign ad can change that.

Mr. President,
I'm here to tell you the American People are awake
and we're not buying what you're selling in 2012.

The American Dream isn't just my story.
It isn't just your story.
It's our story.
It's a story ... of human struggle, standing up and striving for more.
Our story has been told for over 200 years … with small steps and giant leaps;
from a woman on a bus ... to a man with a dream;
from the bravery of the greatest generation, to the innovators and entrepreneurs of today.

This is the only thread I get on. lol. :) Congrats on the new job. Here in Kentucky, so many people dropped off the unemployment rolls (and allegedly, unemployment went down; but I think people just maxed out benefits) that we no longer qualify for the Federal supplement or whatever.

Gas prices just jumped almost 40 cents to $3.95 here. That’s going to hurt Obama more than any words could. JMHO.

Unfortunately, Rush’s show has been a complete waste of time the past few days.

Rush has said he wants this race to be about ideology. Christie laid the foundation last night.

I don’t understand what Rush is doing lately.

This might be the single most depressing episode of the Rush Limbaugh Show. The spinelessness of the GOP is just stunning, absolutely stunning. I have never seen a group better at snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory than this bunch running the Republican party today. It is pathetic.
Rush is talking about karma affecting the libs? Ha! We’re the victims of karma! And we are going to pay for it the next four years you better believe it! It’s revenge time. You: white, male, Christian, heterosexual, any or all of the above. Now you’re really going to learn what it’s like to be the slave, to be crushed and utterly destroyed. Welcome to Maddow and Toure’s America!

Thanks. I got laid off in 2010. I got unemployment then, but just what I put in. After that I have had several jobs, but no one was offering full time. Finally got one. But like most conservatives we live conservatively so we have done fine. Nice to have some gravy though.
