Under President Obama, there has been an unprecedentedly sharp, and first-ever, switch, to preferring the Republican Party, over the Democratic Party. In fact, the damage that has been done to the Democratic brand during the Obama Presidency, going from a historically normal Democratic ratio of 1.38 in 2008, down 39% to the present abysmal .83, exceeds the Republican fall-offs under each of George W. Bushs terms, which declined from the Republican ratio of 1.41 in 2000, down 18% to 1.16 in 2004, and then down yet another 31% to the unprecedented low .80 in 2008, which virtually doomed the campaign of Presidential candidate John McCain, and made Obamas win almost inevitable.
The Democratic brand has thus suffered even more (down 39%) under Obama than the Republican brand suffered under either one of George W. Bushs terms (-16%, then -31%).
Though George W. Bush did major harm to the Republican brand, Barack Obama is out-doing him, hurting even steeper the Democratic brand, which historically (until now) has always been higher-valued than the Republican brand, not just in these pre-convention polls, but for decades in Party-allegiance.

I mock the democrats I know for sticking w this con man.
But Romney has a proven track record of success. A successful marriage, success at turning struggling companies around, success at saving the Olympics. And something sorely lacking in Obama- he’s obviously a very hard worker.
noting to see?? Read this nonsense in the post by the author!!
Obama is a Republican at heart, but he decided (probably in 1996) to enter politics as a Democrat, because there would be no way for him to become the first black President as a self-acknowledged conservative and Republican. As President, he negotiated in congress more with Boehner than with either Pelosi or Reid, and he did that right at the start, when Democrats dominated in both houses. It’s too much to go into here; but, in any case, I nowhere said that Obama is liberal. I consider him fairly conservative, conservative enough to want the Republicans to control Congress, even though that requires him to negotiate much harder with Boehner and McConnell than he would have to negotiate with Pelosi and Reid if he were a liberal. But my interpretation of Obama’s motivation isn’t even part of this article; all it discusses about him is that the nation has veered even farther to the right during his Presidency, something that loads of polls document.
The mind boggles..
I was talking about him being a man of his word. Nothing more.
Get real. That leopard isn't about to change his spots, no matter what promises he's making to get your vote.
At that cabinet meeting, romney wrote down all of his campaign promises-25 of them ( and windflier I am not speaking to the detail of the promises, I don't know what they were and neither do you, I imagine). He then systematically addressed each promise throughout his term of office.
I am speaking to your comment that no politician fulfills his promises from his or her respective campaigns.
Apparently, in Mass. Romney did fulfill every single campaign promise.
But don't let the topic of my post get in your way.

According to who? As you say, neither you or I know what those campaign promises were, so what are we talking about here? I don't even get where the claim is coming from. Who said this?
At their full cabinet session-he used an eraser board and wrote down every single campaign promise he had made during his campaign to be governor.
He then informed his cabinet that he would be addressing (responding to) each promise during his tenure and resolving each issue. He did. Photos of this meeting and the written promises were shown on the large screen behind her as she spoke. She, the speaker, SAID this was her experience working with him-that he was and is a man of his word.
And btw- half of his cabinet were women and the woman I am writing about was black. So much for the dem attack that republicans have a war on women.
