Spineless, gonadless, gutless Republicrat Party.

That's why I'll be holding my nose at the voting booth. The GOP Establishment is Democrat Lite. I have to choose between being hit by a moped and being hit by a semi truck.

I won’t be holding my nose, I had enough of that in 2008. I’ll be voting for a real conservative, although he will lose.

This is just a small foretaste of the betrayal in store for conservatives when Romney is elected.

Just my opinion..........but this could backfire in the long run.

The people who go to conventions now from the states - both D’s and R’s - are the ones for the most part who are involved and have tight circles of other workers/volunteers.

Start freezing them out and you’ll see a drop off in the folks doing the heavy lifting down in the lower levels.

I kept warning that Romney will run the GOP further to the Left.

And look how soon!

Doing some research. Do we know which precinct chairman or rules committee member actually sponsored the rule change?

I am glad Rush came out with this information. Waiting for the Rombots to scream at Rush in 3...2...1.

Here’s my problem: a no vote is a vote for obammy. A vote for Romney has it’s faults, too.

The only thing I know to do is to vote for Romney, and hope we can pick up enough seats in both Houses with conservatives who may be able to hold Romney’s feet to the fire.

Of course, if we had majorities in both Houses, we could slow obammy down a bit, too—but then he turns to Executive orders to get his agenda accomplished.

Every way I look at it, America as we know it, is over.

Or maybe it’s just that I’m old and don’t know anything.

The Ron Paul kooks caused this, in my opinion.

Ron Paul supporters are liars and misrepresented themselves as Santorum or Romney supporters, to get most of their Delegate slots.

Point taken that the rules could be abused by future candidates, but this was a reaction to Paul's nuts.

I don’t like the fact that we have Romney as the nominee.
I agree with the founding statements of Free Republic.
But the fact is, either Romney or Obama is going to be president.
I don’t believe that the US can recover for a very long time, if at all from
4 more years of Obama. Obama’s reelection will mean implementation of Obamacare, picking of left wing supreme court justices, and quite possibly him ruling by executive orders.
I’m struggling to even think this, but it looks like the only way to save our country for now is for Obama to be defeated. And if Romney governs liberally, then form a 3rd party for 2016.

"“[A]ccording to the AP, when you boil it all down, the biggest problem with the Republican Party is its ‘whiteness,’” Limbaugh said.
”We gotta get rid of ‘em. The AP wants us gone.
The Democrat Party wants us gone.
And the Republican establishment doesn’t want the hassle of dealing with this.”

“Even if you were able to cleanse the party of all these white conservatives, do you think the AP is gonna start writing love stories about you?” he asked."

As usual, Limbaugh makes the key point here -- a serious problem with Republican conventions is: they look "too white" and "too male".
This gives Democrats and media pundits (but I repeat myself) the opportunity to decry that Republican "whiteness" represents underlying "racism", "sexism", etc.

In the future, Republican candidates will be certain to chose enough delegates of color to neutralize such criticisms.

In short, it's more about appearance than substance.

This is a long-term fight. We will win some, we will lose some, but we will never stop fighting for what we believe in. Next battle, imho - is to get Obama and his Chicago Thugs OUT, and that, my friends, needs to be done in order to save this country. We will continue the pro-life, heterosexual marriage message, which actually DOES resonate with most of the citizenry in this country, immigrants and native born alike.

It is never easy and it never happens overnight.

partial agreement with rush..

these rules were not only adopted to marginalize pro life republicant’s.. but also the conservative / constitutionalist wing of the republican party..

the gop-e has created a perfect storm..

with so many obsessed with getting rid of the socialist in the white house, they fail to see the socialist the gop-e has planted right within our midst...

the election of mcromney will spell the end of the conservative / constitutionalist wing of the gop-e..

you see, they just don’t need us now..

they got plenty of dems that are pissed at fubo to make up for our voting block...

this is not even in doubt.. the question is, when faced with extinction, what should you do??

I would like answers, not attacks please..

Hi, IbJ.

Holding your nose is not a solution. The solution is so much work, though, and so full of pitfalls and scorn that it will be the last gasp effort.

A new 2d party....whether a thoroughly destroyed republican name brand that is resurrected from the ashes by those who purchase the name, OR a real, brand new 2nd party, OR a restructured current 3rd party...the current rino party has outlived its usefulness.

Why is it that most conservatives agree that to get out of this financial disaster it will take long term hardships and sacrifice but are willing to do it because it is best for the Country. But when it comes to the social decay they will not endure for 4 more years to make real change. Holding your nose while voting is giving the liberals the OK sign.

Any GOP claim that they are still prolife is just election boob bait for the bubbas. Money comes before babies and everything else.
