DNC Erecting Creepy Giant Obama Sculpture
FrontPageMagazine.com ^ | Aug 31st, 2012 | Daniel Greenfield

Forget the marble pillars, this time there will be a giant 16-foot sculpture of Obama made out of 15.5 tons of sand at the Democratic National Convention. Building a giant sand sculpture of a living leader might be considered a bit tacky with its worshipful implications, but building one during a hurricane in South Carolina is in particularly bad taste.

But if nothing else, at least Obama has found one “Shovel Ready Project”. And this isn’t even the creepiest giant Obama sand sculpture ever made. The winner of that particular competition is still Sudarsan Pattnaik with this nightmare made out of sand.

perhaps some of the visiting delegates from the Al Quida faction of Afghanistan can do what they did to the giant Buddha sculptures....just saying...

Well, yeah, the hour glass does look like it could double as an Obamuzzie factory, sand and other low rent krap seems to be what he’s made of. But do you have one that can make empty suits?

Agree 100%, /sig. Even my non-political brother thinks something’s brewing.

Obama will have more than 10 weeks between election day and inauguration day to foment trouble.

He and his rabid followers would rather see the country destroyed than to lose control.

A quarter scale model of Obama’s ego.

I think they figured out that it’s more negative, it looks like they took it down. While they don’t say specifically, I think they are referring to this Obama statue. (Security reasons, sure!):

Giant DNC sand sculpture taken down for security reasons, hotel says

“A temporary sand sculpture was slated to be the “ultimate welcome mat” for visitors during the Democratic National Convention has been scrapped for security reasons.

The sculpture was in the process of being built in front of the Ritz-Carlton and was slated to be unveiled to the public on Friday.”

15.5 tons, you say? I’m guessing that’s symbolic———of the load he carries in his pants when he drags his butt down the ramp of Marine One——————Semper Fi.

If this is your creation, you need to photoshop it a bit better, and then register it as yours!

It’s hilarious, extremely on-point, and could have as much impact as “Sore-Loserman” from 2000

Maybe this goofy sand sculpture will be enough to push those “undecideds” into the Romney/Ryan column on Nov. 6th

Evidently 15 tons of sand were taken from Myrtle Beach for this sculpture. The Army Core of Engineers spent $60 million dollars to replenish sand on this beach, thus this may be a big scandal in the making.

Check out the comments on this web page. Pay particular attention the updates beneath the photos.
