Yup. Romney was dropped squarely on our shoulders like a pile of crap.

>> Rove: “We should sink Todd Akin. If he’s found mysteriously murdered, don’t look for my whereabouts!”

Would that be “legitimate murder”?

Rove -- and Romney – had wanted Akin to leave the race because of the comments that he made

I also want Akins to drop out.

He's an embarrassment. Because of his inability to control his ignorance in public, he handed McCaskill the Senate seat in Missouri where she is very unpopular.

At the very least, he is too stupid to realize that he was being set up in an interview with a reporter.

Rove made it clear, during the same meeting he trashed Akin, that he doesn’t want Republicans to accuse Obama of being a socialist. He thinks Romney can and should win by abandoning conservatives and wooing Obama voters.

and anyone who takes his money must believe as he does and that explains why the political landscape is littered with the remains of those who trusted him.

Karl Rove believes the United States would be better off the Democrats lost control of the Senate. By refusing to step down, Akins has shown that he disagrees. Akins is putting his pride above his country and he has done immense damage to the pro-life movement.

At best, Akins is a vain fool. That is why the Democracts supported him in the primary.

Rove’s last hurrah before he sinks into the muck and obscurity. And take your dog whistle with you.

Rove is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I don’t quite dislike him as much as I dislike Obama....but it’s very close.

Pinging you to this article that shows, once again, the deliberate plan to remove Tea Party and actual conservative people into the waste land. The rule allowing the changing of rules, is noted as part of this plan. I knew it had to be so due to the extraordinary, never known before, actions of the rules committee.

Oh, man...so was hoping to read a story about the FBI paying Rove a visit. Rove of all people should know about being on the end of a threat. Independents would have to be insane to vote for the Obama lady.

He recently joked about murdering Missouri’s strong conservative Senate Republican candidate, Todd Akin.

I don't think I agree with the article that Rove wants to lose. It's possible to see how someone could sincerely believe that Romney going "moderate" could win more votes. But only if you assume the conservative voters are going to turn out for Romney no matter what, purely out of hate for Obama. OTOH, it's just as easy to see how an unabashed conservative could win by articulating the benefits of conservative policy and changing hearts and minds on the issues.

Doesn't the very definition of success in the private sector almost always involve convincing people that your new idea is better than what you've seen before? Yet political consultants seem to assume the public are stuck in these static groups, and all they can do is try to appeal to different segments, but never actually try to change anyone's mind. It's a decidedly timid strategy, and could explain why Rove not only lost 2006 and 2008 to the Democrats, but also lost 2010 to the bold Tea Party candidates who actually offered something new for anyone who couldn't remember the Reagan era.

Rove Must Go

He’ll destroy the candidacy of ANY non-RINO that he and his big-money, elitist cronies did not hand-pick, even if it means bringing down his own party and assuring that Harry Reid and the Democrats retain control of the United States Senate. He’s played this sick little game for far too long... and that’s why Karl Rove has got to go.

We all know the truth in our hearts, but none of us has dared to give it voice until now. Rove and his cronies had ALREADY MADE the decision to cut-off Congressman Todd Akin’s money, and destroy his candidacy, well before Akin’s unfortunate gaff.

The gaff was only an excuse. In today’s media-drive society, a gaff by a candidate is an eventuality that typically goes unreported and unnoticed.

Rove and his cronies knew it would happen... they were waiting for it... chomping at the bit with baited-breath... so they could make dog-gone well sure that the media reported it, and then use it to justify the sabotage that they were lying-in-wait to commit.

No one is fooled... but Rove’s latest attack is not just an attack on Akin. Make no mistake, it’s primarily an attack against YOU. Rove declared war against conservatives long ago, we just didn’t know it.

Outside of pulling the lever for Rove-chosen candidates, red-blooded conservatives like you and me have no place in Karl Rove’s Universe; and as far as he’s concerned, it’s about time that all of us got used to the idea... we should all just sit down and shut up... and that’s why Karl Rove Must Go.

Sign the Rove Must Go Petition right now. It will only take a few seconds to give Rove a piece of your mind, and tell him to pack his bags. Let Rove know that the American people don’t want him to go away mad... we just want him to go away.

“Karl Rove Has Made Himself Toxic...” -Phyllis Schlafly

Schlafly and other conservative who have called for Rove to go quietly into that goodnight are saying what should have been said long ago. At every turn, Rove has gone out of his way to stick his long knives into the backs of far too many conservatives.

Rove and his deep-pocketed, elite cronies either try to crush conservative candidates in the primaries, or destroy these candidates in the general election when the people have the unmitigated gall to reject his hand-picked RINOs.

He did it to Sharron Angle, allowing Harry Reid to keep his seat and his position as Senate Majority Leader where he routinely blocks efforts to; repeal ObamaCare, put a clamp on our nation’s out-of-control spending and roll back the radical Obama agenda.

He did it to Christine O’Donnell because she had the audacity to beat his hand-picked RINO, former Congressman Mike Castle, in the primary. He did it to Joe Miller, who challenged RINO Senator Lisa Murkowski in Alaska. He’s taken countless pot-shots at Sarah Palin... and so many others.

That’s Rove’s standard operating procedure... his calling card... and he has clearly exposed, in each and every instance, his motives and priorities... he would rather see a Democrat win than a conservative candidate, not of his choosing, succeed.

Long-time conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly said it best: “Rove has made himself toxic....” He has become “an embarrassment” and the American people “don’t want any more of his advice in secret briefings or publicly on Fox News.”

Rove must go. This festering cancer must be purged from the body of the conservative movement, and you can help make that happen by putting your name and comments on the Rove Must Go petition right now.

“Rove And The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Had Every Intention Of Pulling Akin’s Money And Crushing His Candidacy Well Before That Unfortunate Gaff.” -Anonymous

That’s the statement that came out of the mouth of one of our inside sources in Missouri Republican politics, who for obvious reasons, asked to remain anonymous.

Normally, we wouldn’t print an unattributed comment (even though we hear a lot of them and they are typically spot-on), but in this case, as we said at the beginning of this email, far too many of us, in our hearts, already believe the sentiment expressed in that statement to be true.

Let’s look at what happened... and keep in mind how suspiciously fast everything transpired as events clearly illustrate that the fix was in and why Rove has become toxic and why he must go.

On Sunday, August 19, Akin, in an attempt to yet again defend the pro-life position that he has heroically defended for years without wavering or compromise, tripped over himself and made a statement that sounded unfeeling and chauvinistic.

Gaffs happen... just ask Mitt Romney who once said that he likes “to fire people,” among a long list of other things... just ask Barack Obama who once said there are “57 states” ... just ask Rush Limbaugh who used a very derogatory and inexcusable word to question the “virtue” of a young lady, Sandra Fluke, who wants to force other people to pay for her birth control.

Akin made a mistake, but unlike so many others he didn’t wait to make amends. Later that same day, confirmed by the Associated Press, Akin apologized, but he didn’t apologize quickly enough for Karl Rove, who was ready to pounce and take him out.

Within hours, media reports quoted “anonymous GOP sources” (we wonder who?) who swore that Akin would announce the very next day (Monday) that he was withdrawing from the race... and just to put the icing on the cake, the NRSC and Rove announced that they would pull all the money that had been allocated for Akin’s Senatorial campaign.

Rove probably thought he had forced Akin’s hand, just as he had forced the hands of so many before him.

Even former-Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee noticed that something wasn’t quite right. “There was such a chorus, orchestrated chorus after him, quickly, publicly.” And Huckabee, a man of firm moral character, has urged the Rove and the elites to relent: “Take a spy who has to be brought in from the cold as the old expression goes.”

But Rove won’t relent... and we don’t want him to relent... it’s too late... we want Karl Rove and the Arlen Specter and Olympia Snowe look-a-likes he tries to sneak into office out of the picture... the sooner, the better.

“Rove Instantly Went Ballistic Over Akin’s Unfortunate But Innocent Phraseology. That’s Because He Never Liked Akin And Never Supported Him. He Bet On A Primary Candidate Who Lost To Akin, Who Was Not The Country Club Republican Choice To Take On McCaskill.” -Joseph Farah

But Akin wasn’t going anywhere, so Rove and company applied the full court press. Showing an aggression that is rarely shown against Democrats they all piled on.

They actually gave Akin a deadline, and convinced others to do the same. The elite attack machine started screaming so loud against Akin that you couldn’t even hear a liberal criticism of Akin over the media noise THEY were making.

Trying to sound reasonable and non-vindictive, they peddled the cover story that Akin should withdraw and their egregious actions were justified because “Akin can’t win,” and they pointed to a hastily released quickie poll that showed Akin had lost 10 points to his opponent, Senator Clair McCaskill since making the unfortunate gaff.

But then, a week later, several polls showed that Akin was surviving the ordeal... in spite of the gaff... in spite of the feeding frenzy against him... he was either ahead-of or tied-with Claire McCaskill.

And when the media asked Rove and the Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus if they would relent and support Akin’s campaign, since it was obvious that he COULD WIN.... do you know what they said?

No! Priebus practically yelled at a reporter when he said: “He could be tied,” but “we’re not going to send him a penny,” and the cover story of demanding Akin’s withdrawal from the race because he “couldn’t win,” was proved as false as the make-believe outrage over Akin’s initial gaff.

Have you ever seen Rove and the rest of the elites move so quickly and decisively against a member of the political opposition? Of course not, but then again, Akin committed an unpardonable sin... and it wasn’t the unfortunate gaff... rather, it was his opposition to the RINO philosophy of Rove and the elites.

Rove told Akin that he had to go quietly into that goodnight. Well, now it’s your turn to tell Karl Rove to go quietly into that goodnight.

“We Should Sink Todd Akin. If He’s Found Mysteriously Murdered, Don’t Look For My Whereabouts.” -Karl Rove

And now, Rove and company aren’t even bothering to hide their venom. The hatred is out in the open for all to see. Rove also told the press, “we don’t care who the nominee is, other than get Akin out.”

And Rove added that there are at least “five people who are interested” in replacing Akin; and we’re sure that every single one of them has Karl Rove’s Seal of Approval.

Well, Rove doesn’t have our Seal of Approval. As far as we’re concerned, Rove is the problem and his removal is the solution. It’s time to shun him, and if you agree, you can make that happen by signing the Rove Must Go Petition right now.

Joseph Farah again: “Something is blocking a clear view right now – and it’s not a slip of the tongue by Missouri Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin, who once again leads his Democratic opponent, Claire McCaskill, in the polls. It’s the person who, more than anyone else, tried to demonize and vilify Akin for that slip of the tongue. No, I’m not talking about Rachel Maddow or Arianna Huffington. I’m talking about Republican political consultant Karl Rove... It’s now Rove who is hurting his party, not Akin.”

Referring to Rove’s apology over his “death threat joke” at Akin’s expense, Farah went on to say: “But an apology is hardly enough... it’s time for Rove to take his own advice to Akin and get out of the way.”

No, it’s not enough.

Phyllis Schlafly agrees, but she simply doesn’t want Rove’s exit from politics, she wants the media to get the message too: “Karl Rove has made himself toxic to Republicans... Any candidate or network who hires Rove will now be tarnished... Rove has been calling on Todd Akin to resign, but the one who should resign because he made an embarrassing, malicious and downright stupid remark is Karl Rove.”

William Murray, who heads the Government is Not God (GING) PAC says that Rove’s comment “was so distasteful as to shame the entire Republican Party.”

We possess in this great country, as Abraham Lincoln famously said, a “government of the people, by the people and for the people,” not a government of Karl Rove, by Karl Rove and for Karl Rove; and there’s only one way that Rove and others like him are going to get that message.

Rove, and men like him, are a sickness within the conservative movement and must go. We want Karl Rove gone and you can join us by signing the Rove Must Go Petition right now.
