Posted on 09/02/2012 11:46:09 AM PDT by Justaham
Obama campaign senior adviser David Axelrod called the Republican convention a "terrible failure" on Sunday and said the event had failed to help Mitt Romney in the polls.
Speaking on Fox News, Axelrod said he "saw no movement" for Romney in the polls during the GOP convention. "I don't really see any bounce," he said.
Axelrod added that the GOP's "snarky attacks and bromides for the base" in Tampa had put Democrats in a strong position to begin their own convention this week in Charlotte, N.C.
"I think the race is exactly where it was before they walked in [to Tampa], and now it's our turn," he said.

He is delusional.
He's Setting the stage for feeling good about the DNC being "just" a failure.
I thought the Democrats were boycotting Fox News.
Wishful thinking and the “Big Lie” approach.
What was he supposed to say — that it was a roaring success?
“Wishcasting” is the perfect term.
It’s only anecdotal, but everyone I knew who watched the convention was fired up.
Axelgrease is paid to say that. It’s his job. I don’t really think it’s newsworthy. Nobody in their right mind would expect that freak to say that it was a giant success. Geeeesh! The “media” has to think we’re all morons like Obama supporters are.
do ya think or axle just spewing more from truthdig.com..where they are pushing Ryans statement about rape being just another form of conception. youg women are posting this on facebook.
Hey Axelweasle-communism was a terrible failure and so is that tinhorn pansy posing as President.
Keep telling yourself that Axelrod, you evil, orript, lying POS.
Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll
Just prior to this past week’s Republican National Convention, Romney trailed the president by two. Todays four-point advantage confirms that the GOP hopeful has received the expected convention bounce
Hey Axlegrease - I found a movement for you. It’s still warm.
AxelFRAUD should really do something about that Hitler look he has going, or maybe because he’s a Dem it boosts his resume
In other news, Axelrod also stated:
The sun is cold
Daylight only occurs at night
Cows can fly
Milk comes from rocks
As long as you have grass, don’t complain you have nothing to eat
The middle-class is doing just great
Obama has been a great president
The economy is buzzing along at an incredible speed
We’ve created more jobs than President Ronald Reagan
We have more friends around the world today, than we did in 2008
Our military is stronger than ever before
Our Navy is stronger than it was in 2008
Arab states in the Middle-East adore us
Russia and China are two of our best allies
I’ll stop here, bandwidth and all...
Suffice it to say, I consider Axelrod to be an enemy of our nation.
Yeah, for his side! Just the Clint Eastwood thing almost certainly doomed Mr. Obama to one term.
This guy is so out of it, he’ll be celebrating a massive Obama victory when it is called for Romney.
Poor Dave....his guy now has a record to run on (or explain) and there’s not a single sealed divorce file that can be leaked to them.
After saying this he also stated he enjoyed dinner with Elvis last night
Since 0bama’s been pres_ent everything has failed!
Btw, the GOP convention’s “above the fray” approach and hopeful vision are making the Rats looks like fools repeating talking points which must have been written a week ago. “Snarky attacks”? What snarky attacks?
If you say so axle. Party on!
Orript = corrupt
The more the rats squirm the more heat there is. Axleshaft is spinning himself into a blur.
it is hard to see anything with your head up you back side!
He is exhibiting the classic Obama approach. The tactic they use is “optimistic talk”. The way they handled the problem with the Islamic world, the economy, green jobs, etc, all reflect this approach.
They believe that if they talk as though it is getting better, that soon it will actually become better because people will start to believe it.
“Fake it till you make it”, on a national scale.
Keep on dreamin’, Axelwad.......
With the media on their side, the ‘lie told a thousand times’ tactic has worked for democrats time after time. Its what Axelrod is employing here.
Interesting observation from a guy who is touting 0bama's first term as a success.
I’m really getting sick of this wicked, lying, evil devil spewing his Goebbels BS day after day!
It was a "terrible failure" ... for the 'rats! (Let's hope that their convention gets everything that they wished for the Republican convention, and even more!)
I expect David Axelrod is a pretty good judge of these things. After all, the Alinsky method is to trivialize and marginalize, to the degree possible, everything your opponent does, so to attach the adjective “terrible” to anything is immediately to dismiss its importance and effect.
Trouble is, Mr. Axelrod doesn’t have much leverage here. He is way on the short end of the stick, and though he strives mightily, he cannot shift much of anything. The now failing obama regime has begun to founder, as its last days draw nearer and nearer.
Like Nixon in 1974, it becomes impossible for the Current Occupant to assert believable authority, and without this aura of respectability, people begin to openly sneer and make disparaging remarks, becoming less and less guarded in their speech, and generally behaving like they want to get on to the next big thing.
In Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar”, Brutus speaks,
“There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.”
Obama may have missed the timing in assuring his place in history as being much more positive than the future historians shall see it.
I am consistently amazed that the Democrat Party puts a disgusting person like Axelrod out there to project their image. I think they should keep doing that and it will help the Republicans.
Oh Damn!!!And here I was with my hopes up wanting terribly for David axelrod to like us!!!
Was he reading a teleprompter when he said it?
Quit making excuse for him. He is a lucid, Marxist liar. Nothing less, nothing more.
I shouldn’t attack someone because of the way they look; but, in Axe’s case, I have to make an exception. This guy looks like some kind of cartoon character.
I never hear what he is saying because I am to busy looking at his bazaar appearance. I wonder if he even knows how strange he appears?
Just my two cents. Have a great Sunday.
0bama’s first term is a success. He is accomplishing exactly what he set out to do...to destroy this nation.....and unfortunately too many of our citizens love it.
You know what, David the Red?
It was the best political convention that I have ever seen in my entire life.
And I’m not a real big fan of the GOP by any means.
You tell ‘em, Axis.
Let ‘em eat cake!!
Axisrodent in full Barack sh!t mode.
Fantastic new Romney web ad: A Better Future
A great new inspirational web ad from the Romney campaign:
At the Republican National Convention, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan outlined their plan for a stronger middle class and their vision for the future. They were joined by Republican leaders throughout the country who will join with them in restoring our nation. Working together, they are committed to securing the promise of America for the next generation.
The Hitler look-alike is DELUSIONAL......he’s a DEMOCRAT, of course he’s delusional.
So what, Axelrod or whatever your name is.
That sounds like an auto part.
“Yeah, your Axelrod is out of the turretnest. It’s gonna cost you $158 to repair it.”
Axelrod was mentored by two veteran communists/sympathizers, id. CPUSA member and refused to register Agent of a Foreign Power (Soviet Union), David S. Canter, and Don Rose, avowed “progressive” since the late 1940’s and supporter of Communist fronts and causes.
They even hired Axelrod to write for their extremely leftistt Kenwood-Oakwood-Hyde Park newspaper which featured CPUSA propaganda, starting with its first issue.
It is safe to call Axelrod at least a “Pink Diaper Baby.” With more evidence (interesting how things about his mother can’t be found), we might even be able to call him a “Red Diaper Baby.”
Either way, I also call him a total schmuck who looks like Hitler, sounds like Julius Streicker/Joseph Goebbels, and has the sanity of Charles Manson at dinner.
The Republican convention’s main theme was the economy and getting people jobs. Can anyone explain to me why illegal immigration was not addressed? Afterall America now houses aprroximately 20-40 million illegal aliens of whom at least half have taken American jobs.
