Axelrod says GOP convention in Tampa was a 'terrible failure'

Obama campaign senior adviser David Axelrod called the Republican convention a "terrible failure" on Sunday and said the event had failed to help Mitt Romney in the polls.

Speaking on Fox News, Axelrod said he "saw no movement" for Romney in the polls during the GOP convention. "I don't really see any bounce," he said.

Axelrod added that the GOP's "snarky attacks and bromides for the base" in Tampa had put Democrats in a strong position to begin their own convention this week in Charlotte, N.C.

"I think the race is exactly where it was before they walked in [to Tampa], and now it's our turn," he said.

Btw, the GOP convention’s “above the fray” approach and hopeful vision are making the Rats looks like fools repeating talking points which must have been written a week ago. “Snarky attacks”? What snarky attacks?

The more the rats squirm the more heat there is. Axleshaft is spinning himself into a blur.

He is exhibiting the classic Obama approach. The tactic they use is “optimistic talk”. The way they handled the problem with the Islamic world, the economy, green jobs, etc, all reflect this approach.
They believe that if they talk as though it is getting better, that soon it will actually become better because people will start to believe it.

“Fake it till you make it”, on a national scale.

With the media on their side, the ‘lie told a thousand times’ tactic has worked for democrats time after time. Its what Axelrod is employing here.

Obama campaign senior adviser David Axelrod called the Republican convention a "terrible failure"...

Interesting observation from a guy who is touting 0bama's first term as a success.

"Obama campaign senior adviser David Axelrod called the Republican convention a "terrible failure" on Sunday"

It was a "terrible failure" ... for the 'rats! (Let's hope that their convention gets everything that they wished for the Republican convention, and even more!)

He's always been delusional and an blatant liar. Now he's lying to his side trying to make sure to keep the DNC lib cashflow flowing into his pocket right up to the end.

I expect David Axelrod is a pretty good judge of these things. After all, the Alinsky method is to trivialize and marginalize, to the degree possible, everything your opponent does, so to attach the adjective “terrible” to anything is immediately to dismiss its importance and effect.

Trouble is, Mr. Axelrod doesn’t have much leverage here. He is way on the short end of the stick, and though he strives mightily, he cannot shift much of anything. The now failing obama regime has begun to founder, as its last days draw nearer and nearer.

Like Nixon in 1974, it becomes impossible for the Current Occupant to assert believable authority, and without this aura of respectability, people begin to openly sneer and make disparaging remarks, becoming less and less guarded in their speech, and generally behaving like they want to get on to the next big thing.

In Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar”, Brutus speaks,

“There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.”

Obama may have missed the timing in assuring his place in history as being much more positive than the future historians shall see it.

I am consistently amazed that the Democrat Party puts a disgusting person like Axelrod out there to project their image. I think they should keep doing that and it will help the Republicans.

He is delusional.

Quit making excuse for him. He is a lucid, Marxist liar. Nothing less, nothing more.

I shouldn’t attack someone because of the way they look; but, in Axe’s case, I have to make an exception. This guy looks like some kind of cartoon character.

I never hear what he is saying because I am to busy looking at his bazaar appearance. I wonder if he even knows how strange he appears?

Just my two cents. Have a great Sunday.

0bama’s first term is a success. He is accomplishing exactly what he set out to do...to destroy this nation.....and unfortunately too many of our citizens love it.
