The right rallied on Labor Day to celebrate “National Empty Chair Day,” a show of solidarity with Clint Eastwood after his infamous address to an invisible President Barack Obama at the Republican National Convention last week.
The action picked up steam on Twitter, where the hashtag #emptychairday began trending on Monday morning as users tweeted pictures of empty chairs in various poses.

Leaving out the height # forces html to reduce it proportionately to the width, or vice versa.
Yes, I was experimenting with the standard html sandbox figures for the Rush picture, knowing that the dimensions were not right for my particular photograph. I did not mean for that to post, but just wanted to preview it to see if it altered the image (I hit the wrong button). I knew the dimensions were for a horizontal rectangle, not an upright one.
That was a mistake I did not mean to post, but of course I could not take it back. There is a part of html coding that I’m still working to get my mind around—sizing. I can do a hand-breaking piece of coding work like this: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2923932/posts but I must learn what my mind is missing on image sizing.
AMC has had Eastwood movies on almost all day, too!

We were still setting up so he hadn’t cleared out yet. It was so hilarious, his 3 year old grandson went thru the parade yelling at the chair ‘You can’t tell me to shut up!’
And the foolish “expert commentators” said that Clint Eastwood was a mistake — past it! stumbling! Yeah!
This country is going to be covered with empty chairs.
