Eastwood: Obama acts like he killed bin Laden By KEVIN ROBILLARD | 9/12/12 2:49 PM EDT Clint Eastwood thinks that President Obama has taken too much credit for Osama bin Laden’s death, he recently said in an interview with Esquire. "There are two kinds of people in this world," Eastwood told the mag a month before his “empty chair” speech at the Republican National Convention. "'I' people and 'we' people. I've always tried to be a 'we' person. I think that our president is an 'I' person. He speaks as though he killed Osama bin Laden himself." Eastwood, a legendary...

GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) — These days, wherever you see Clint Eastwood, an empty chair is sure to follow. Even if you're on a hike. A life-sized cutout of a cowboy Eastwood has stood on a trail overlooking a Southern California freeway for months, but on Tuesday a pair of chairs were next to him, one also a cardboard cutout, the other an actual wooden chair. The right rallied on Labor Day to celebrate “National Empty Chair Day,” a show of solidarity with Clint Eastwood after his infamous address to an invisible President Barack Obama at the Republican National Convention last week. The action picked up steam on Twitter, where the hashtag #emptychairday began trending on Monday morning as users tweeted pictures of empty chairs in various poses.

That’s what reader Sandy writes: Prof – Seems that there is an effort to make Monday “empty chair day” Below is an image of my front lawn, just mowed, to ensure the emptychair looks right. The sign next to the chair says: “We own this country . . . Politicians are employees of ours . . . And when somebody does not do the job, we’ve got to let them go.” –Clint Eastwood The huge cultural divide is reflected in the photo above contrasted with this NY Daily News article and photo about “Eastwooding” by New Yorkers who think the...

Hello. Over at Legal insurrection is a post on making Monday, Labor Day, Empty Chair day. I like it. A real statement on the undermining of work and responsibility expressed so well by Clint Eastwood. Pass it on and think of doing it in your lawn. A plain old empty chair, plastic or otherwise. The claims of Mitt Romney being unapproachable, stiff, doesn't care about people, a murderer, a job-snatcher, ridiculous. As hubby says, "if you have an emotional connection to Barack Obama, something's wrong with you," or as Clint Eastwood said while he was winding-up to the "Eastwooding" of Obama: "it's just that the conservative people, by the nature of the word itself, play it a little close to the vest...they don't go around hotdogging it.... (no Greek Temple, no smoke, no memories of Indonesia). I love his son saying "we felt like we were the most important thing in our Dad's life,"...

Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you very much. Save a little for Mitt. I know what you are thinking. You are thinking, what’s a movie tradesman doing out here? You know they are all left wingers out there, left of Lenin. At least that is what people think. That is not really the case. There are a lot of conservative people, a lot of moderate people, Republicans, Democrats, in Hollywood. It is just that the conservative people by the nature of the word itself play closer to the vest. They do not go around hot dogging it. So...

Hollywood may be bashing Clint Eastwood's performance at the GOP convention, but Rush Limbaugh said Friday the reason is that he touched a nerve with leftist celebrities — and with the president himself. Pointing to the photo the Obama camp tweeted after midnight showing the back of the president's head above the office chair in the Oval Office, Mr. Limbaugh said that proves the White House was worried. And he wondered whether it was Mr. Obama himself. "It must have gotten to him because he tweeted at 12:30," Mr. Limbaugh said Friday on his radio program.

Apparently there are videos being posted on the Web of people scolding an empty chair.

The Twitter account of Barack Obama responded last night to Clint Eastwood's Republican convention speech mocking Obama with an empty chair.A photo captioned "This seat's taken" was posted featuring a rear view of Obama presiding over a meeting while seated in a highback leather chair with a brass plaque on the back embossed, "THE PRESIDENT January 20, 2009"If the photo doesn't load, here's the URL: http://p.twimg.com/A1mY4mRCAAM_qwX.jpg:large
