John Bolton Confirms: Israel Is Alone

John Bolton, former U.S. Ambassador to the UN, the most honest and clearheaded person in foreign policy, is saying that Israel should not wait to attack Iran because Barack Obama will never come to Israel’s aid. In an interview published in Maariv, Bolton stated:

"There is no way at this stage to prevent Iran from going nuclear without use of force. It is very unfortunate in my opinion, but I see no possibility that Obama will use military force, and therefore it falls upon Israel. I think that even though the Administration says that containment is not its policy, it will become its policy the day after Iran possesses nuclear weapons".

The deeper question is, will attacking the Persians hand the election to Zero? If so, it is not worth it for Israel nor the US. I’d rather have a nuclear Iran than four more years of Zero.

A nuclear Iran almost guarantees as nuclear arms race in the Middle East and Likely nuclear war if not precipitated by nuclear terrorism. The reelection of Obama means the loss of America as we know it.

The idea that ANY military action would redound to Obama’s benefit is preposterous.

He simply doesn’t have that kind of credibility.

There is one thing we must never let the world forget.

If Israel gets destroyed it is because liberal Democrats refused to help knowing the potential outcome.

And if a Nuclear war erupts/nuke terror occurs, see above.

There is ZERO way around those simple truths.

If there is a war between Israel and Iran, America will be involved. Some voters—who might otherwise have voted for Romney—will be against changing leaders during a war.

And American Jews will continue to vote overwhelmingly Democrat.

It makes no sense for Israel to attack Iran before the election . . it could very well backfire and get Obama re-elected. Or Obama could turn his back on Israel and Israelis could get killed for no good reason.

Better to wait until after the election. If Romney wins, the US will assist Israel. If Obama wins, they can attack the day after the election.

My guess is that the Jewish vote is 2-1 against Romney, but the Jewish donors are probably equal for Romney and Obama.

Adelson alone will be pumping about $300 million into the GOP coffers.

To translate, Mr. Bolton is simply saying to Israel, “wait until Mitt and Paul get elected to take any action”.

I've heard that old chestnut, like everyone else. I just can't bring myself to believe it is an ironclad truth, particularly with this President.

If a general like Peter Pace were running against an incumbent Hillary on the eve of hostilities, does anyone really believe the country would stick with Hillary?

First, welcome to FR.

Second, you make some good points Steven, it would not surprise me in the least if Netanyahu pulls the trigger on Iran as soon as the polls close on November 6th.
