Bain employees to speak at Democrats' convention, officials confirm

Democrats plan to have Bain Capital employees make the case against Mitt Romney at their convention in Charlotte.

Senior Obama campaign officials confirmed to Fox News that at least two people who worked at Bain Capital -- Romney's former private equity firm -- will speak at the Democratic National Convention this week.

The bold move comes after Democrats have spent millions of campaign dollars on ads shedding light on companies that folded after Bain takeovers. While the campaign is not revealing who will be speaking or when they'll be addressing the convention, one thing is clear -- it will not be favorable to Romney.

A knowledgeable source told Fox News that possible speakers could include Steve Pagliuca -- managing partner at Bain Capital, considered the unofficial head of the firm. Pagliuca is a co-owner of the Boston Celtics who ran for the Massachusetts Senate seat formerly held by the late Ted Kennedy and lost in the Democratic primary to Martha Coakley in 2010.

I read the article. These are present senior officers at Bain, not low level disgrunted employees. Go to that article to see who they are. I was surprised to see it is the top guys. I don’t think it would “be prudent” for Bain officers to seriously knock Romney when he could be the next president.

I see a proxy fight in Bain’s future.

So how does this work? I hate Bain, therefore I like obama? Somehow I don’t think voters will make that connection.

Steve Pagliuca was SO successful at getting out his message while running for Teddy’s seat that while getting free airtime on WRKO every FRiday he still couldn’t score. I remember saying to my then Sophomore in HS at the time of our commute...”is this Dope for real?...How the heck did he get to be so wealthy with a mentality like that?”
My boy warbled “Witchcraft” ala Frank Sinatra.

Oh we had a good howl over that one!

I suppose that might depend on what kind of offshore money might have been promised in exchange.

Obama's handed out about five trillion dollars over the last three and a half years, as I understand it. You think anyone knows where all of it went?

You are either the head or your not. Since he lost to Coakley in the dem primary, I can guess he is a richard cranium.

Time for Romney to get personal. Bring on an ad starring Wayne Allen Root talking about how no one remembers him. Flash that brochure with Obama’s Bio stating he was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia. Remind people that in Obama’s own book he talks of being mentored by a communist. Remind people about Ayers and rezko. Bring it on Hussein.

I think you could be on target. Talk about being handed a way to defuse.

Anyone who thinks broken-axlerod is a genius, needs to remember he only managed one big win in a run against mclame and nobama can hit his own ass with both hands without the TOTUS.

All they had to do was find a couple of democrats. Those bastards will say / do anything to further the cause. We’ve seen it many times. Liars and bastards, all of them.

I’m assuming they are going to extol Obama and his plans to tax the rich.

If these are people who work FOR bain, not companies bain took over, what are they going to say?

All of us at bain are a bunch of capitalist running dogs, we stink?

I don’t think so.

I also rather doubt they are going to personally slam Romney, that would be extremely bad form and I doubt it would be worth it just to help the dis-loyal and term-limited Obama.

So, I’m pretty sure it will be along the lines of Obama is great, tax the rich, even though I’m rich, tax me, tax me tax ME (by which they’ll mean you, of course, but never mind).

I don’t think this is any more exciting than Artur Davis speaking at the R. convention or Charlie Christ speaking in Charlotte.

I suppose I could be wrong. We’ll see.

Excerpt:
Democrats ignore this inconvenient truth: Bain’s private-equity executives have enriched dozens of organizations and millions of individuals in the Democratic base — including some who scream most loudly for President Obama’s re-election.

Excerpt:
They will accuse Republican nominee Mitt Romney and Bain’s other “greedy” co-founders of stealing their winnings, evading taxes and lighting cigars with $100 bills on their yachts.

But Democrats will ignore this inconvenient truth: Bain’s private-equity executives have enriched dozens of organizations and millions of individuals in the Democratic base — including some who scream most loudly for President Barack Obama’s re-election.
