I think you’ve done that yourself.

You tell us “the heart of the black community is love and support”.

You tell us the black community was destroyed by generations of “welfare”.

But you also tell us the black community was already full of thugs and thieves in Baltimore in 1968, rioting at the death of Martin Luther King, when the Great Society had barely begun.

Welfare started long before The Great Society. I worked in the welfare establishment beginning in 1963. It was obvious that the system at that time existed to perpetuate poverty. Were there thugs in 1960’s? When were there not?
