Charlotte, North Carolina - Democrats are poised to avoid the danger of President Barack Obama accepting his party’s nomination before a partially-empty stadium by shifting his speech to an indoor arena and citing ‘severe weather’. The Obama campaign have been working desperately to ensure that the 74,000-seater Bank of America stadium in Charlotte would be filled. Buses for students from across North Carolina and even members of black churches in neighboring South Carolina have been arranged. Images of rows of empty seats at the stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers, as Obama speaks on Thursday night would be politically disastrous

That Arena is cursed, first it is the home of the lowly Charlotte Bobcats, and now this.

“There are also reports that Democrat operatives have been reduced to handing out free tickets to the event at bars and elsewhere ....”

Sounds like a great opportunity, for would-be mischief makers.

Yet another sign Obama is toast...and I think their inner circle knows it, even if Obama hasn’t accepted it yet.

They could get 74,000 to show up, but what they would get would badly trash the place, be kind of hard to hide.

So what about the thousands of people they're busing in to fill the big stadium? (see thread)

Where do I get tickets? Not so I can go, but so I know there will be an empty seat! We should all get tickets!

Here you go.

Two Drunken Democrats Offer Convention Preview
I don’t recall any stories similar to this coming out of last week’s GOP convention but then again these are Democrats. One California delegate has been hospitalized and another sent home following a night of heavy drinking. California Democratic Party spokesman Tenoch Flores declined to identify the two men. It seems they returned to the Blake Hotel after a night on the town when one of the men fell, apparently injuring himself badly enough that an ambulance had to be called. The second man then proceeded to pick a fight with the emergency responders and the hotel staff and the police were called. He was not arrested but for the good of the party he agreed to “forgo official delegation activities.”
Hell, if I had to look forward to spending three days listening to Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and John Kerry I’d get drunk too.

Crime is rampant while he closes roads in Hampton Roads today to speak at NSU. If you are white, you ain’t invited, nor would you want to head that way.

The venue is quite small needless to say. Riling up the BO sons and daughters vote here. Acting like fools, talking like fools, and small kids get to learn new cuss words. The local 7-11’s are sold out solid of 40 ouncers. Might be a miller or Bud on the shelf but the malt liquor is gone.

Rush talking about that being a major problem .... can’t find enough folks of the left-leaning ilk with photo ID - you have to have it to get on the bus & in the stadium. The Arena is so limited that by the time they let in the VIPs & credentialed delegates, there won’t be any room for the ‘common’ people ... or the potential rabble being conscripted out of bars, etc. that might have gotten into the stadium.
