This is actually one of the things that I like about the cultural left: their increasing honesty about being who they are and demanding their due.

Cutting "God" out of the platform is strictly for internal consumption: forcing the government-dependent segment of the Democratic Party, many of whom believe themselves to be religious or even "conservative", to swallow their pride and admit the terms of the bargain they've struck.

I consider this to be a clear positive for conservatives because it means that the cultural left at least can, if not necessarily will, stand up to the economic left in matters of importance. The cultural left is (in many cases, literally) sterile and has very limited ability to hurt anyone outside of their immediate surroundings; the economic left can wreak havoc near and wide.

Wow, throwing God into the trash-bin as old fashioned and passé, and worshiping ‘The Government’, doesn’t seem like a very wise thing to do. The way things are going these Godless progressives are going to need all the help they can get, especially Divine intervention.

However, it does confirm what we suspected all along. The Democratic Party has moved way over to the extreme Left, especially since Obama gained power. Agreed. That’s why the only true rights are “negative” rights, i.e., the things that government cannot do to its citizens. Alleged “positive” rights which Maobama and his fellow lefties advocate always violate the “negative” rights of one or more other people and are not true rights at all.
